Colors for Tipsy restaurant

After taking a little break after my hat shop project, I think I’m finally ready to start my third miniature kit :sparkles: This time I’ll be building the Tipsy Restaurant :wine_glass:

Since my two kits involved a lot of customizing and handmade details, I think I want to make this one a little simpler and more relaxing to build :sweat_smile:
…although I already know I want to repaint and change the colors hahaha :artist_palette:

Tonight I started testing different color combinations to figure out the kind of atmosphere I want for the build :two_hearts: I’ve also become such a fan of Pebeo acrylic craft paint lately. The coverage is great and the colors are beautiful :sparkles: Definitely recommended!

One of my biggest crafting frustrations is honestly bad paint :joy:
The kind that covers poorly, needs endless layers and leaves ugly brush strokes :sob: So yes… I’m very picky when it comes to paint :sweat_smile:

It’s now 01:04 here in Norway :norway: so I think it’s finally time to sleep and continue the project tomorrow :heart:

Thank you for sharing your concerns about paint. That’s also why I’m looking to buy paint; good coverage will yield results much faster.

I’m very curious to see what you will make of it this time. I always love your customizations. And even if you’re only changing the colors, it will make a huge difference from the original. :smiling_face:

And I can imagine bad paint is indeed the biggest frustration when doing these customizations

I’m actually not usually a very “vibrant colors” kind of person, so I’ll probably end up toning them down a little and making the palette softer and moodier :sweat_smile::artist_palette:

Good paint honestly makes such a huge difference, especially when working on tiny details like miniatures. It saves so much time and frustration compared to paint with poor coverage that needs endless layers :sob::artist_palette:

That really means a lot to me! Even if I’m trying to keep this build a little simpler, I already know I can’t fully resist customizing things hahaha :sweat_smile::artist_palette:

And yes!! Bad paint is honestly one of the biggest frustrations :sob: Especially when working with tiny details and needing several uneven layers. Good paint makes the whole process so much more enjoyable :sparkles:

i honestly admire people who repaint/customize their kits because painting is probably my least favourite part of building :sob::joy: i’m way too impatient for it lol

but your color choices already look so pretty and cohesive :sparkling_heart: the Tipsy Restaurant is going to look amazing!!

I love pink but I haven’t seen it being incorporated in this build. I would love to see how you incorporate this because colour into this kit, it would be amazing
