A dear friend of mine is moving to a different country soon. :smiling_face_with_tear: While hanging out before she left, we were looking for an activity that would give us something to remember each other by. She did some googling and we came across this place that offered ceramic painting! :smiling_face:

Now I am not a fan of painting or maybe it’s just never been something I spent a lot of time on and my art skills are close to zero lol, but I thought it would be fun to give it a go since this is a first for me! No matter the results, it would still be cute and memorable.

We started off with blank mugs and I think I spent a long time Googling for inspiration. I eventually settled for some ducks. :laughing:

On closer look I think my coating ended up a bit uneven. :melting_face: The kind lady in the store mentioned the same thing but that just means there’s room for improvement!

Thanks for reading my non miniature post! This is a first for me and I’m really excited to share it with people who love crafts. It’s off to be baked and I’ll be collecting it in a week or so! The lady did mention that the colours will come out darker than expected but I think I’ll love the results even if it turns out to be a ‘fail’. :rofl: :rofl:

I love your cute, cheery design. I think it is perfectly imperfect.

I am really happy that you got to spend time with your friend and try something new. I feel like I learned a lot just seeing the process.

Unfortunately I do not I can barely paint lol. Everything is pre-made and I just chose the mug. :sweat_smile:
My sister however loves pottery and she’s been learning on and off. I think it’s a beautiful hobby. She’s donated a bowl to me. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
