Yesterday, I’ve managed to build a few things since I only have limited time and I’m slow in building kits. I’ve built the main wall of the kit, door and the floor
For the wallpaper of the main wall, I prefer to cut the holes using a precision knife before pasting it in the wood instead of pasting it first then poking the hole using a screwdriver. I think you can also clearly see where to position the wallpaper right if the holes are already cut before pasting it with the glue. I also think that poking it using a screwdriver will have a possibility to damage and extend the rip of the paper.
When pasting the glue, I suggest you use a paintbrush if you don’t like to get your hands to be dirty like me to flatten the glue in the wood. It’s also helpful for me especially on little things that need to be glue like the doorknob. After pasting the glue, try to flatten the surface using a card or an ID. This is the paintbrush that I’m using. Don’t forget to soak the paintbrush in the water after using it for the glue as the bristles become hard when the glue has dried on it.
Thank you so much. I hope I can finish this kit by the end of the month since I don’t want to build it quickly and being literally slow. You’re welcome.
Oohhh thank you so much for the suggestion. I’ve never used that before. I might give it a try since I just used a scissor but I’m struggling when I’m using it for trimming hard objects.
