Fairytale Tree House - Update #1

I’ve started doing the Fairytale Tree House. It was a random choice out of nowhere. These are the things I’ve built so far. At first, I’ve followed the instruction manual to use double sided tape to paste each part but I’ve decided to use a glue instead and redo all of those. I just don’t feel to use the double sided tape since I think it’s not sturdy enough to hold things.

I’ve been cautious on building the furnitures to not break a single wood along the process but I still do. I think it’s inevitable since the legs of the chair are thin but I’ve managed to stick the broken pieces using the Elmer’s glue.

This is the chair with broken legs. It still looks flawless, right?

I wish that the table cloth is made of real fabric, not paper to look more realistic but it’s still nice though.

My favorite book so far since it has a cat front cover.

That’s all. Thank you for reading.

Lovely details! Interesting how many people jump straight from double-sided tape to glue. I may end up doing the same.

I want to try to collect little bits of fabric so that I could make my own!

It’s starting to look very cute. Do you have any fabrics that you may want to use to make a tablecloth rather than using the paper?

I still use the double sided tape on the things that I need to remove temporarily for photography purposes in the future. I recommend using the glue on things that you don’t want to remove permanently and it will hold things together more firmly.

Yes, same with me. I will save those unused cloth or felt on other kits that I’ve already built or from the clothes that I’m not wearing anymore.

Thank you. Sometimes, it’s okay not to follow the instructions. Yes, it’s more sturdy.

Looking good. Just wondering how you manage to go back and forth between several kits…I would be SO lost. I am looking forward to seeing the piano.

Thank you. You should probably get one.

Thank you. Did you already build the Fairytale Tree House before? The parts are so small.

Thank you. Sadly, I don’t have any excess fabric with me now. I want the same red checkered table cloth but I need to order it online and wait for it to arrive in days. Maybe next time if I’ve decided to change the paper into cloth.

No, it’s in my backlog, but I have seen others build it such as @jeanneL, and @JDisaduck !

Yes, it’s cute and so small. Sadly, I broke one of the chair’s legs. I’m thinking of painting some of the parts with wood/brown colors but I’m hesitating to do so. I might ruin them.

Thank you. Oh I see. I just love those parts which have a cat especially the black one since it’s my favorite color of the cat.
