A few days ago, I finally finished the Christmas Melody tree. I had so many problems with this project. It started with painting all the edges of the leaves. It seemed endless. I worked six evenings to get all the edges painted. During the last part, everything went wrong, perhaps because I was so eager to finish it and didn’t really have the peace and quiet to build it. When it was finally finished and I wanted to show it to my husband, the train got stuck in the tunnel because the roof had come loose from the adhesive strip. I finally fixed it with superglue. I think the end result is still beautiful, despite everything that went wrong.

It still looks flawless for me. Beautifully done. 
Sometimes, I got annoyed when I’m making mistakes in doing crafts because I’m a sort of perfectionist but I’ve realized it’s part of the journey and no one is perfect.

I have that too, luckily I know that some mistakes are less noticeable once the building is completely finished

They always say that you can’t judge a book by its cover and I have come across a few of those as well. I see so many people struggling with the space shuttle and for me, once I got past the initial test, that thing was a breeze

Thankfully, everything turned out alright in the end. Motion models always require a lot of patience and careful execution. But you did a great job anyway.

Thank you @ThaoNguyen I build more mechanical models than miniatures. I think you need more patience with miniatures because all the details are so small and difficult to grasp. I think it just depends on what you have more experience with

For me, each has its own appeal. Model houses focus on meticulously detailing the objects, while animated models require you to be precise with the gears and motors. But no matter which one, patience is the most important requirement.

I had issue with my train too but it was my fault. I dont think I had it down as much and it hit the tunnel wall. Able to fix without a noticable problem. The main issue I am still stuck with is this little squeek when Santa goes around with music. I have waxed the various parts where the tree touches the pole but still there. so, I ignore LOL
