I had hoped to finish the Christmas melody tree tonight. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. Everything went wrong. First, my daughter wouldn’t sleep, and when I wanted to throw something away outside, I slipped on a frozen tile. At 9:30 pm, I was finally able to build again. Then, while painting the edges of the lamppost, red paint got on the sign. I was completely done with it and cut off the sign. I thought I might be able to reattach the sign by gluing it back on the other way around. Fortunately, it worked. It didn’t turn out perfectly, but I can’t get it any better today.
Tomorrow, I’ll build Santa Claus with his sleigh, and then the melody tree will finally be finished.
It’s looking so nice. Sorry to hear about your rough day. I hope that you are okay. Slipping on ice is never any good. I did that quite often when I lived in Montana but we are at 80° here today in Texas. The temperature in Montana this morning was -3°
Thank you @Nita_Davis I didn’t expect it to be slippery outside so it was quite unexpected haha…sometimes you have days when everything goes wrong…hopefully it will be better today
It’s really hard when the kids don’t want to sleep. But I always think…at some point they’ll be so tired they’ll fall asleep but yes, that meant I had less time to build myself
Oh no, what a night… I’m glad you got through it, and I hope you’re feeling okay! It still looks lovely, and I’m sure tomorrow’s build will be the perfect finish
