I have the best neighbors that anyone could ever ask for. Dean and Karen are their names; both are in their 70’s. They’re always available to lend a hand whenever asked.
They invited us to go down to Galveston Island to do some surf fishing. They packed everything including poles and bait. They let us stay with the (3 nights total) in their timeshare. He taught me so much as I have never had the opportunity to try it. All I caught was a very young Stingray - tossed it back.
I had previously made the Ocean Fisherman and gifted that to Dean. I gave Karen the flowers, just to show them my appreciation. I love them like family.
Awe, this is such a nice story, your neighbours sound great. I had an old lady friend like that growing up, she lived in the apartment building my dad managed. She used to teach me so much, and was my closest friend during a very hard time in my life.. I’ve also never really had grandparents growing up, so she was the closest thing to a grandma ever had. That being said, I hear yeah when you talk about neighbours becoming like family!
It is very important to have good neighbours. Our neighbours live here almost as long as we do and we used to spend a lot of summer nights together but now we have kids and work an stuff it is less but we still talk every day. How bice they took you on a trip
That’s very nice. I have a neighbour across the road and used to take my puppy over there to say hello and my little Coco in a very short period of time build that into a habit paying the neighbour a visit almost every everyday.
Coco always stick her head through the curtain and look outside. Hoping to see who is passing by. If she sees her friends then she will bark to get their attention.
