But I’m not quite ready to make this one yet. I have plans to paint the puppies to look like my three that have passed away, and I don’t feel quite ready to look at the pictures to get the likenesses right.
So, you can see that I have some thinking to do about matching their colours without removing the delicate expressiveness of the original puppies. But this is my plan. For when I’m ready.
Oh no! So sorry to hear about the passing of your fur babies. I watch one who looks so much like your Daisy…and her name is Daisy Mae. Congratulations on your prize.
I love your idea. It will be such a touching tribute to your furbabies. I am sorry for your loss.
If you got yours then mine cannot be far away. I am looking for suitable puppers to 3D print to replace the 2D ones. They are cute, but a little too ‘young’ for my tastes.
Thank you so much for your kind sympathy. When I first met my Daisy, her name was TInkerbell, but she was always meant to be Daisy. Now I realise from your Daisy Mae that Daisy dogs must have a certain look to them!
Thank you so much. As soon as I saw that that was the kit we had won, I could see them so clearly. Yes, I had the same thought that they’re very much puppies here - mine all made it past 15, so I do think of them as being mature dogs. I hope that you find what you’re looking for - getting 3D dogs might overcome the challenges in losing their form lines with painting. Although I do have some neglected fineliners that could help me recover those…
Thank you so much I was inspired by one of our community members who did something similar but with a 3D model for their dog, and I thought that was just so beautiful.
This seems like a lovely way to remember your dogs. I love my dog Roxie and this kit really reminds me of her. She loves sleeping near me while I’m building.
That’s great! But I like to see people’s kits arriving, and hear about what they plan to do with them. It’s like chatting with friends, you can chat with us about your plans
