I was going through some old folders today and suddenly found the photos of my very first Rolife wooden 3D puzzle: the Piutus Cat. A couple of friends gave it to me for my birthday because they knew I loved cats more than anything… even though back then I wasn’t as deep into the miniature world as I am now. I had built a few miniature DIY houses before, but it’s so hard to find photos of those early projects.
For this one, though, I did take pictures, probably because it was my first 3D model, it was adorable, and I remember sending progress photos to the friend who gifted it to me. Seeing these again brought back so many memories.
One of the strongest is of my sweet cat, Nala, who always sat beside me whenever I built anything. She developed a very rare illness in cats, Leishmaniasis, which is more common in dogs, and because it’s so unusual in cats, there wasn’t a proper treatment. We tried everything, but eventually she passed away.
Finding these photos has been bittersweet. I miss her every single day, but I’m glad I have this little memory connected to her. This kit will always hold a special place in my heart.
I hope you enjoy the photos… and a little piece of my beautiful Nala, who I loved with all my heart.
Thank you, that’s so sweet. And thank you for your kind words about Nala, she was truly special I was with her since she was born and she was like my spirit animal
Thank you so much. She really was a beautiful kitty and meant the world to me. I miss her every day. I’m glad you liked the little cat model too, it brought back so many memories.
