A simple and peaceful life is so much better.

For 50 years i have kept a very special book…One that was passed down to me by my Nan..this book Is 50 years old and was released in 1947. I have the first copy that someone had sold a few years ago for £2000 (ofcourse Completely untouched) ever since ive held this book it felt like i had to keep it safe..like one day it might help me out…The Diary of Anne Frank, This book is so old i cannot open it alot anymore as..the pages just..well fall out or crumble

Ive been wanting more vintage Items just like this book Added to my collection but everything is just so expensive..Thousands.

Since seeing this typewriter ive fallen in love! My hobby and vintage looking item combined into a gorgeous kit to add to my collection! I am so excited to get mine.

If i could i would buy one for every single person i know…This book means alot to me and it will continue to do so.

Heres the photos of the 1947 first edition copy of Anne Franks Diary..50 years old

Thank you! Online messages may fade, but the ones written from the heart will last a lifetime.

Of course we would like to see your progress Niels.

This is one of the best ever. I read this in school and will never forget.

I have an old typewriter tucked away in my from room. It is no longer functional. And we have a really old one that we rescued from under my in-laws house that needs lots of cleaning up. When I have some space I want to display them.

Its a very good book. I love it

That sounds absolutely wonderful. Those quiet, joyful moments that make life feel full

What a gem! There’s something so charming about pieces that still work and carry history with them.

That is so calming, and the way you keep your space simple and nostalgic makes it feel timeless.

What a beautiful amazing kit!! The typewriter really is timeless.

I recreate a vintage vibe in my everyday life by intentionally slowing down and turning small moments into something cozy and meaningful :sparkles:

For me, it’s less about perfectly replicating the past and more about capturing the feeling of it, a sense of calm, creativity, and being present. Building something with my hands, like a mechanical model or miniature scene, brings that to life in such a special way. It feels grounding in a world that’s usually so fast and digital.

I also love incorporating vintage-inspired rituals into my routine, like sitting down with a cozy drink, putting on soft music, and fully immersing myself in a build or creative project. Those moments feel like stepping into a different time, even if just for a little while.

That’s what I love most about Rolife — it makes that vintage, storybook feeling something you can actually create and experience yourself :yellow_heart:

Writing notes on paper instead of your phone feels so much more personal, and I agree—apps can’t replace that satisfaction. I am still doing that for my grocery list, what to do and what to bring (if we will be going out of town/vacation)

I admire how you’re challenging yourself with more complex builds

That book is such a treasure, and the fact that it was passed down from your Nan makes it even more meaningful.

This is crazy amazing! I absolutely love typing…I can’t wait to build this! I’m super excited that it’s a level 6 difficulty!

DUDE I WANT THIS SO BAD, I LOVE THE MAGIC VER OF THE TYPEWRITER STUFF LIKE THIS ARE SO SICK

Share how you recreate the vintage vibe in your everyday life.

I usually have some oldies music playing either in my sleep or as simple background noise. I also wear newspaper boy hats or mainly Kango hats, I want to collect more colors of them! Another thing I’m not sure if it’s vintage or not is chained glasses! I recently made myself some hungry caterpillar themed chained glasses!

My family recently moved into a home built in the 1960s. It still had its original kitchen. Pink Formica, solid wood cabinets with aged pinkish brass handles and hinges. We loved it so much that we decided to lean into the vintage and bring old back to life. We sanded the old varnish from the cabinets to restore their original appearance, cleaned and polished all the handles and hinges, restored the vintage bread drawer, and added a vintage wallpaper. The really add the vintage charm, I built the ROKR Wonderland Cuckoo Clock that goes off every hour.

Awh thank you, its defineltly a treasire

I like to bring a vintage touch into my everyday life.

I prefer writing by hand rather than typing. It feels more personal, more real — every word carries a bit of thought and emotion. In a world of fast printing and perfect fonts, handwriting feels warm and alive.

I also choose handmade items over mass-produced products. They may not be perfect, but they have character and meaning. You can feel the care behind them.

When it comes to reading, I still reach for physical books instead of e-books. I enjoy the texture of the pages, the weight in my hands, and the quiet moment it creates.

It’s not about avoiding modern life. I simply choose to slow down and keep things that feel genuine and timeless.

Thanks for reading :heart_exclamation:

You’re so right!

I prefer writing over typing too. And I also like to read with an actual book in hand. I don’t own an e-reader.

I think it is necessary to slow down sometimes and take a step back of the daily rush of life.
