📖 [ROKR Journey] Space Shuttle not working

Hi!
First timer here!
I am having issues with my space shuttle moving when the button is pressed. Not sure how to upload this video i too though. Its only 18mb but it wont accept it. The piece that moves down and up with the spaceshit only moves a very small way and then nothing…
I really hope someone can help.
Note, there are pieces removed from base so i could unplug and replug hoping this was the issue but it wasn’t. The light where the black part is isn’t lighting up either.
I’ve built roughly 15 rokr/robotime puzzels and never had a problem before.
I need to work out how to upload this video so it’s easier to understand my problem also

:clap::clap:Welcome
I haven’t built this spacecraft, but I’ve seen the promotional video.
I remember that the slide on this model wasn’t a straight line (180 degrees), but rather a roughly 170-degree angle, if I remember correctly.

You can wait a little longer. There are already power users in this community who have built this model. I think they’ll be able to help you after seeing your post!

I wish I could help but I never had to use part C14 as many have stated the need to do so. I ran my test without it and it was fine. I did MANY runs back and forth in the beginning steps and added more wax in between runs. I hope that maybe more wax helps. I do sand and wax between every cog and I even waxed my plastic cogs as well. Welcome to the group. Here is mine.👍 [ROKR DIY & Creativity] Completion of my custom Space Shuttle - #63 by Nita_Davis

I do the same, I’m always making sure it is sanded and waxed. This one has stumped me and I’m at the point where i think there is something wrong with the motherboard or connections

I had problems with it in the beginning as well. I tested at least 20 times and finally succeeded. I was scared to death when I had to do THIS test you are on but all went well. If you did your first test, all should be good.

It seems to me that if something was wrong with your motherboard, it would have failed in the first test… ALSO, it appears that it has moved as far as it needs to. If touch the start button again, it should go back up.

It won’t go back up, even after touching the start button

Sorry, I can’t help you out. I know how frustrating that must be. @Mell

Maybe try removing part C1 4TH. For the people that I’ve seen use it…I know they had to remove it at some point. Hopefully that works for you. @Mell

When i did the initial test, it wasn’t doing what it was supposed to and then did the last time so i kept going. Im going to see about replacing the mechanical things and see if that helps

Please try removing C14. . It states that in the instructions IF you even have to use that part. I never had to do so.

Welcome to the community @Mell!! I hope @Nita_Davis’s tips work for you. If not, maybe @CustomerService can give you some ideas to fix it. Fingers crossed you get it sorted!

The video is not very clear, but is it sliding out and not back in again or at the start it goes a bit back and forward?

Hello, The reason the landing gear cannot stop extending is that the T3 switch cannot contact the bottom wooden board. Try bending the metal plate of the T3 switch at a slight angle and test it again.

Thank you all for your help and support. I have put it aside for the minute and will pick it up again soon. In the meantime I’ve built a couple more book nooks lol
I will let you all know how I go when I try it again
