After assembling the base/launch platform I decided to test it again before continuing with the shuttle itself. After doing so the platform extended and slide out but i can not get it to go back up (Launch position).
Is there anything i can do to fix this ? Preferably without out disassembling to much.
Note: during the second test required in the manual everything did work as it should.

That’s a really clear description of what’s happening, Niels. You can check first the alignment, or band that was loosened orrr wax the sliding part. Not 100% sure since I have not done this one yet

@Martins_Assembly_H has done a lot with this as well as customer service. So if still issues, may want to tag them and include video as that helps them tremendously.

Hopefully it’s just a small alignment issue or something simple. Wishing you luck with the fix — would love to see the shuttle once it’s complete!

About 90% of times this is caused due to the micro switch at the bottom of the shuttle supports not being depressed.
Look at that switch and see if it’s been installed correctly and also look if you installed a small wooden piece below it because that’s where that switch gets depressed against once the rails have pulled out.
Your rails probably look like they want to escape just now but they go back a little, and that’s good because the safety trigger is working as the motor is feeling that extra stress.
So what should happen is that the rails pull out just enough and the micro switch gets depressed and they stop.
The switch I’m talking is the first one you install in instructions, it’s the P12 switch.
And the wooden little piece I’m talking about is F10 found on page No. 6, but it might be on a different page for yourself as I’ve found out some have instructions on different pages for some reason.

My space shuttle started acting up during the first test when assembling the base (around step 4). It worked once and just at once it did not do what it was supposed to anymore. Luckily when I went back to it last Monday it just worked, and multiple times. So I hope the tip and info you got helped you getting it to work again. And I hope I will be spared of any further issues as I continue to build tonight
