Meetup Events 02 the Netherlands - Stramproy & Nieuwegein
Where Familiar Faces Turned into Real-Life Connections
Sometimes, all it takes is a table, a handful of tiny wooden pieces, and a group of curious crafters to create something special.

From late February to early March, two meetups quietly unfolded across the Netherlands, from Nieuwegein to the village of Stramproy, introducing the joy of crafting to local crafters for the very first time.
Liset and
Jerry brought everything to life with their creativity, care, and thoughtful attention to every detail.

1. An Afternoon in Stramproy
The morning of the meetup began with a small flutter of nerves for
@Liset. Hosting people who had never met before always brings a bit of uncertainty. Would everyone
feel at ease? Would the afternoon
come together as imagined?

But as the first participants stepped through the door in
Stramproy, those thoughts slowly drifted away.

People walked in, looked around, and settled into their seats, their curiosity growing with every glance at the tables prepared for them.

Among the participants that day was also a familiar face from the community,
@Jerry_Boswijk, as a fellow crafter, sharing the experience alongside everyone else.

Liset placed her completed builds on the table, inviting everyone to gather closer. As participants leaned in to take a better look, conversations began to spark around the details and differences between
Rolife,
ROKR, and
Rowood models.

Instead of choosing kits directly, participants reached into a pool of tickets and revealed their builds one by one. Smiles, laughter, and a bit of playful negotiation followed as people exchanged boxes until each person held a kit that truly excited them.
Soon, hands began to move in sync with instructions, pieces clicked into place, and quiet questions traveled across the table. From time to time, someone would
pause, look up, and share a small laugh with a neighbor before returning to their build.

There were a few tiny mishaps along the way. A piece slipped, another snapped, but with
a bit of patience and a touch of glue, each challenge was gently resolved.

By the time anyone glanced at the clock, three hours had already passed. Chairs shifted back, people stood up, and the group gathered for a photo, carrying with them a quiet sense of accomplishment and connection.

2. A Quiet Creative “Zone” in Nieuwegein
@Jerry_Boswijk had
spent months preparing for this moment. Step by step, he searched for a venue, arranged the details, and brought everything together until the day finally arrived.

He arrived early, setting tools in place, arranging snacks, and making sure everything was ready. As participants walked in, some placed their own snacks on the table, adding to the spread and creating an easy sense of sharing.

When the crafting began, the energy in the room slowly shifted. People leaned forward, eyes tracing instructions, fingers carefully guiding each small piece into position.
Even the youngest participant, who usually found it hard to stay still, leaned in and focused, carefully following each step with determination.

The room grew quieter, not from distance, but from
shared concentration. Occasionally, someone would glance up, exchange a quick smile, then return to their work.
When the session came to an end, people slowly sat back, stretching their hands and looking at how far they had come. Only one kit had been completed, yet no one seemed to mind. Boxes were carefully packed, with plans to continue crafting at home.

Some experiences are not measured by what is finished, but by the quiet moments spent creating along the way.
Meet the Brand Ambassadors Who Made Everything Happen
·Liset
For
@Liset, crafting has never been something she keeps to herself. What started as a quiet hobby soon became something meant to be
shared, passed on, and experienced together with the people around her.

At 35, living in the Netherlands

, Liset balances a full life as a wound care nurse, a mother to her young daughter, and someone who is always thinking of others. When she first discovered Robotime in early 2025, she was simply looking for a moment of calm. Instead, she found something that connected not only with her creativity, but with her way of
caring for the people in her life.
Her builds don’t stay on a shelf for long. A prize she once won was quickly gifted to her 11-year-old nephew, who proudly showed it to the entire family the moment it arrived.
Another time, she brought kits to her parents’ home, where each family member found something to love, her niece carefully admiring every detail of the box, her father already imagining how he would paint his model, and her nephew eagerly claiming his next project before anyone else could.
Even her daughter, not yet three, has already been invited into this world, painting her very first little build alongside her mother, full of excitement and curiosity.

Liset herself brings the same level of care into every piece she creates. She enjoys painting her builds, highlighting the smallest details and making each project feel unique. Her favorite, the
Vincent van Gogh Magic Piano
, reflects that quiet patience and appreciation for artistry that defines her approach.

But what truly stands out is how naturally Liset
turns creativity into connection. Whether she is gifting her prizes, encouraging a friend to start a new hobby, or creating moments for her family to build together, she transforms something small into something meaningful.

For Liset, crafting isn’t just about what you build. It’s about who you share it with, and the memories that are created along the way.
·Jerry
For
@Jerry_Boswijk , crafting was never only about assembling pieces. He first found Robotime during a time when life felt heavy, and what began as a simple activity gradually became a way to slow down, regain focus, and rebuild a sense of calm. Piece by piece, it offered him
space to reset.

Over time, that personal experience naturally grew into something more outward-facing. Jerry didn’t just continue crafting, he began showing up for others. He welcomes new members, shares practical advice drawn from his own hands-on experience, and celebrates small progress just as much as finished creations.

At home, crafting has also become something shared. Whether crafting alongside his wife or encouraging children as they take on their very first projects, these moments reflect
the same patience and care he brings into the community.

This spirit carries into the moments he helps bring people together offline, whether it was through a meaningful
Christmas fundraising event
, or a
successful meetup. From planning to participation, Jerry has been part of creating spaces where community members can meet, stay side by side, and share their enthusiasm in real life.

Because sometimes, what we build goes far beyond the kit itself.
