Hi guys, here’s a quick update on my 10 minutes a day progress on the Cheers bar project. I’ve been taking it slow and easy with this build, not rushing because I just don’t have the time. But I’m still building enough each day to achieve the optimum therapeutic dose.
I had a lot of fun planning out the layout of this wall. It was originally red with printed images on it which I’ve now covered with white wallpaper. I’ve replaced some of the images with Van Gogh’s artwork and added some extra Oktoberfest drinks menus hanging above the windows.
And here’s another wall which was originally orange in colour, but I’ve swapped that out for blue wallpaper. I kept the rest of the artwork that came with the kit unchanged.
Here’s the drinks cabinet, which I had a lot of fun assembling. I contemplated painting the edges but I actually quite like the raw wood edges on this one, so I decided to leave it as is.
A rare moment where Robotime’s quality control slipped a bit, the piece of wood for the flower box sides wasn’t fully laser cut in the middle. So I had to use my own scalpel and carefully split it into halves myself. I also painted the edges with shiny bronze paint.
I’m not too sure about my choice for the tablecloth cover so I’ll sit on it for now. It might end up looking a bit too busy, so I may swap it out for something more plain.
It’s looking so amazing Jade. I truly love your Van Gogh wall and your colour choices. I can’t wait to see this all come together.
Take care of you my potato friend.
I love this so much, twinnnnnnn!!! Taking it slow like this feels so nice, I totally get that “little bit each day” feeling
The wall is looking amazing, the Van Gogh touch fits so well! And I actually really like the raw wood edges too, it gives it a really warm vibe. Good job with this one, Jade!
Haha to be fair it’s probably more of an average. These days I’ve been so busy I just don’t have the time to build as much. But I need my stress reliever.
