[Pro Tips] Wire strippers that actually work!

I haven’t been on here much for the last three weeks due to my Dad having a heart attack. He’s back in the hospital for the second time in three weeks, but we’re hopeful.
Even with that going on, I always have miniatures and Robotime on my mind. I haven’t worked on a single miniature in three weeks because I sit at the hospital every day. But I can’t help but share this tip. I have seen lots of posts, especially in different Facebook pages,
asking about how to strip wires to connect them. I usually just use my exacto knife to lightly score the wire and then pull it off, but I recently came across these wire strippers that a perfect for the size of wires that we use in our miniature builds. Hopefully this will help some of you. Happy Building!

Great find Tina. I usually just score lightly with my scissors and that works for me.
I’ve noticed that you’ve been a little quiet and was going to ask about your father. I do hope he is doing okay now.

I’m sorry to know about your father. I hope for his fast recovery. Thank you for this useful tip! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: As for me, I only use scissors to strip off the wires.

Tkaplan, I am so sorry your dad has been in and out of the hospital, and I hope he keeps improving. It is very kind of you to still share a practical wire stripping tip with the community. Those tiny wires can be tricky, so this is going to help a lot of builders.

So sorry to hear about your father. I hope he gets better soon :mending_heart:.

This is a very good tip, I usually do it the same way you do it and most of the time it works out fine. But I cut the wires entirely one time :smiling_face_with_tear:

@serenebliss_23 thank you…he is slowly getting well enough to be released from the hospital. He will live with me and my husband until his heart receives a stent or two.
