Thank you! I just wanted to share what works for me and hopefully help other builders find what works for them too. And yes, I think we’ve all glued something to our fingers at least once! ![]()
Thanks for this tip. I don’t have nail glue though. Maybe clear glue with brush applicator can also work?
Hahah, me to with the superglue! ![]()

Hahah, you are too funny and sweet ![]()

lol
Absolutely! A clear glue with a brush applicator can work really well, especially for larger decorative pieces and paper accessories. The main difference is that it usually takes a bit longer to dry and may not grab instantly like nail glue. I would just recommend applying a very thin layer and giving it a little time to become tacky before attaching the piece. Honestly, every builder seems to develop their own favorite glue over time, so if it works for you, that’s the right glue! ![]()
Great tip. Although knowing myself and my clumsiness I think I better stick to the adhesive tape and other glue ![]()
This is a cool idea! When I built the London Tour Bus, I just used the adhesive included but nail glue might’ve been easier to use. I’ll keep this in mind!
Yey! Happy building! @Zoe_Lau ![]()
Great tip. I have used regular nail glue in my builds, but I never thought to use the brush on glue. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome!
I hadn’t thought about it either until I tried it. The brush applicator makes it much easier to apply just a tiny amount exactly where it’s needed. I hope it works well for your future builds too! ![]()
this is honestly a wonderful idea! Don’t know how I didn’t think of that before. Great share!
I appreciate it. I will most definitely be trying it. Thanks again. ![]()
Thank you. I’m glad you found the tip helpful! ![]()
You’re very welcome!
I hope it works just as well for you as it has for me. I’d love to hear what you think after you’ve tried it. Happy building! ![]()
Oh my!! LOL!! Gluing pieces to your finger. I have done that more times than I like to admit.
I am currently using Loctite Super Glue Repositionable Gel. I used it for my last build and absolutely loved it. I was able to continue to align pieces up to 15 seconds. I also found the glue was easy to remove from my fingers in between setting pieces. Other glues I have used in the past, would stay on my fingers and made it hard to continue building.
Hahaha, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s ended up glued to a project! ![]()
That Loctite Repositionable Gel sounds really interesting. Having those extra few seconds to adjust pieces would definitely take some of the pressure off. Thanks for sharing. I might have to give it a try on a future build! ![]()
