I use a cutter to lightly cut on the connecting points before pushing the wooden pieces out from their moulds to avoid irregular broken off edges.

the safest way to get no chips or breaks!
I always do as well.
That feeling of the thinness and breaking it free. I know the feeling. I recently made a sniper rifle scope and it has the bendable ones and it scared me so much

I also do this with very small parts. With large parts, I carefully push them out with my hands. If you gently wiggle the pieces back and forth, they break off cleanly.
