Not Rolife fire engine

This is the wood trick fire truck. It weighs about 5 lb and is almost 18 in Long and about 5 in high. This one contains 636 pieces and takes about 8 or 10 hours to build. It has an inner spring motor and the ladder on top will extend to about 36 in. I think I probably spent a week on this one. Getting the spring out of the package was no joke and I did shed blood. These puzzles require a lot of strength… or in my case, a hammer because I don’t like sore fingers. Installing the spring motor was very hard to do as well and I needed the help of my mom. Doing two of these models has given me an even better appreciation for the Robotime models. Although it is very detailed, I have only done two from this company because of the work involved.

The fire engine looks so realistic but reading your experience makes me think twice to build one  I don’t like sore thumbs too.

But it’s beautiful @Nita_Davis well done! Did you also paint this?

Thank you very much. @Jill_Francisco Yes, it comes in raw wood. The building time is about 8-10 hours, but that is why this one took me about a week.

Firetruck looks Fantastic..Incredible job!!!…I am curious as to what type of paint did you use in finishing this?…Incredible!!! I assume you used some sort acrylic marker or pain but am curious as to what brand…I have intentions of doing this model in the future. Again Very Impressive Work!!!

Thank You Keith

Thank you very much. @KAL . Welcome to the community. I have done over 100 models in the last 2 years and painted all but maybe 6 or 7. I use Apple Barrel acrylics from walmart and a brush. The pens don’t last long, so I don’t use them. One bottle for 60 cents will usually get me through AT LEAST 5 models. If you would like to see more of my builds, just click here and you can browse around. Any questions, feel free to ask. https://community.robotime.com/u/nita_davis/activity/portfolio

Thank You so much for the very informative information. I see where you have finished the Space Shuttle model also. Which by the way looks AWSOME!!!..You definitely do great work!!! I am currently waiting on the Space Shuttle to arrive. Again thank you so much on the paint info as I was intending on purchasing markers but per your advice I will be purchasing the paint instead.

Thank You again for the advice…Models Look Awesome!….Keith

This is very cool! I love how detailed and functional it is! :star_struck::star_struck: Did you have to use a lot of rubber bands and toothpicks for this build too?

Thank you so much @Atropex . Rubber bands for the doors to open and close…and for the tires. There are also two thick ones for the hoses. I don’t recall any toothpicks, but there may have been a few.

Thank you so much for your kind words @KAL …always happy to help…anytime.

Wow this is amazing @Nita_Davis. I can’t believe all those little details hidden away. As always you did a wonderful job painting :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Very cool. It looks reality.

Wow this is amazing! :pink_heart: I can only imagine the time spent on painting and all the rubber bands involved.

It’s probably not for me so I’ll gladly admire your work here.

The fire truck looks awesome even the details of it. It looks real.

Thank you so much @Jo_Zanella . When I look back on some of the models that I did in the beginning of my painting days, I cringe seeing the spots I missed…like inside the doors where the speakers are. I probably thought to myself “Nobody will ever see that”…LOL!
