Today I am embarking on a different sort of Journey. These puzzles require a lot more work with sanding and toothpicks and rubber bands. If anybody has ever done one from this brand, you know the drill. This is the one my son got me for my birthday so I am squeezing it in. I have previously done the fire truck and the oil rig platform from this brand
It looks like such a fun challenge to take on, and even more special since it was a gift from your son! Enjoy the build, @Nita_Davis!! ![]()
Wow that fire truck is really cool! That car is going to be awesome! I will leave these to you to build though. That is alot. Enjoy!
They are pretty challenging but also a lot of fun because I really do like the cars. My son knows me well @Wenbare
Oh cool! Are the rubber bands for functionality? Do they make it run?
And you are going with red I see? ![]()
The rubber bands are so that the doors can open and close and it also runs the motor. I am absolutely going with red and a few other colors. @Nectarines
Be sure to take lots of pics as you go through! I love the inside looks!
That’s so clever! I love that!
I look forward to seeing your progress with this one!
Wow this is cool! The oil rig is really unique imo, I’m assuming you would’ve painted everything hahaha! ![]()
Thanks so much! That oil rig was like 1180 pieces. I think the fire truck was around 880. This little car is only 280…but it will have a rubber band wind up “engine”. @JDisaduck
It is pretty cool. I like things that have doors that can open and close.
I love the car. Does the engine block move? It’s going to be really nice! I’m already curious about the final result.
Wow those are very cool builds.
Pretty sure the pistons will go up and down…but haven’t got far yet. They go up and down in my Dream Cabriolet so I am thinking these might, too. @Liset
I think this is a cool build. it will look nice next to the other cars I’ve made
I’ll keep it in mind
As stated, Wood Trick is a whole different experience. The pieces are way thick and a a razor knife and a hammer are ‘must haves’….I also love the cars. I’ve done 15 -20 vehicles. @Liset
Thank you so much @Tricia12 Those two were a LOT of work. I think that oil rig took me about 20 days…LOL!
Which brand is it from? @Nita_Davis
Thanks for the tip @Nita_Davis I’ve never had to use a hammer haha now I’m getting curious ![]()
If you do, you will. @Liset
