As the time passed I noticed that some people try to customize their kits. My foot was broken, so the opportunity to try it myself didn’t take too long. Without any knowledge of what I need to buy or do, I got a cheap kit (cat room themed) and a few other things.
* First steps *
I started with the floor. For some reason it was the most enjoyable part to do lol. With the wood cutter, some coffee sticks and later on wood oil I began creating:
I truly suck at painting, that wall was covered over 10 times from scratch (need tips for that for sure ><)
Then I started making custom details. Never used resin before and didn’t know how to color it, so the bowl might look a bit weird. Same goes for the pot, I molded it out of a wierd thing (usually used for evening out walls). As for cat toys: cut little pieces of wood and drilled holes for the box; used a little rock for the mouse; cut out paper and used a spring for the tower; crafted a little tent with fabric~
To conclude, this kit didn’t take too long to customize. I used some parts like cat boxes that were included, tho they were recolored. I tried to make it look nice and cozy (even tho some parts are wonky).

You’ve done an absolutely awesome job. I have been watching videos and I’ve seen resin can be coloured using shavings from chalk. You can also buy coloured resins.

I love how your custom kit turned out, especially the cat tree and the tent! For painting the walls, I heard spray painting them makes it look smoother and even. Incredible job!
