It took me much longer than i anticipated to customise this build, and I admit to staying up past my bedtime last night to finish, but I am so happy with how it turned out.
My customisations included:
New wallpaper and flooring.
As I said before, I mucked that up a bit and next time I need a bit more precision in my measuring and cutting
Painted all of the furniture and tables either a green colour (I really don’t know what to call the shade) or a softer brown.
Painted the bench seat
Swapped out some of the paper items for fabric. I really wanted to change out the table cloth on the outside table but I couldn’t get the lace to work for me
Painted the teapot and cup to match the wallpaper
Gave up on making another pot of little flowers and put a ready made pot out the front
I really wanted to set up the outside table so that it appeared a tired shopper and her dog had stopped in for a tea break but the space was too limited to fit the dog.
Overall, I’m happy with my first customisation. I really enjoy the muted colours and it celebrates my own love of tea.
I love all the changes Suzanne! You’ve introduced a really cosy vibe to it and I’m in love. I love the green and brown you’ve chosen and the teapot and cup are just too adorable!
Mistakes will be made…I’ve made a huge one on my jewelry box…Still not sure what I will do to change it yet. The main thing is that you wanted to make it personal…and you have definitely succeeded in doing so.
