I finally finished customizing my Rolife Catherine’s Living Room kit, and I completely changed the whole vibe haha ![]()
The original Catherine’s Living Room is beautiful, but I wanted to challenge myself to see how much I could transform the mood just by using color, tiny accessories, and extra details. Lavender is my favorite color, and it has always felt so calming and cozy to me, so I wanted this room to feel like a tiny peaceful escape! The kind of place I would want to curl up in with a book, flowers, and a warm light on
I used acrylic markers for all the painting and slowly turned the room into a warm purple living room full of cozy little moments. I added extra flowers, plants, decorations, and tiny details throughout the space, and I honestly think those little additions made the whole build come to life
Some of my favorite customized details are:
The purple couch and cozy lavender color palette
All the extra flowers and plants
The fluffy rug that makes the room feel so soft
The flower basket on the couch
The tiny chess board on the table
The books, magazines, and little paper details
The gold scissors
The hardest part was honestly knowing when to stop adding details because every time I looked at it, I thought, “Wait… one more flower would be cute” ![]()

I can’t even decide what my favorite detail is anymore. I thought it was the flowers, then the rug, then the flower basket on the couch BUT every little corner has something that makes me smile! ![]()
This is why I love miniature building so much. A kit can start as one design, but with a little creativity, it becomes a tiny reflection of your own style, favorite colors, and imagination. This one feels so me & I’m really proud of how much personality I was able to add to it ![]()

This build reminded me how fun it is to take a kit and make it feel completely your own. I love the original Catherine’s Living Room but customizing it into my own lavender cozy version made it feel extra special!
If you could customize a kit in your favorite color, what color would you choose? ![]()
