Hi, Iām from Miriā. A quiet coastal city where the sea has always part of my story. Growing up, I used to spend so much time at Tanjung Lobang Beach, watching sunsets that painted the sky in soft shades of gold and pink, while the waves moved gently along the shore. Back then, life felt
slow, simple, and full of small, beautiful moments. But as I grew older, busy days slowly replaced those evening walks, and the beach became a place I rarely returned to. Somehow, I didnāt realise how much I missed that calm until I discovered Rolife. Piece by piece, as I built, I found myself returning to that same peaceful feeling.. like standing by the sea again, with nothing but the breeze and the fading light. The seahorse, a symbol of Miri, reflects that quiet spirit.. gentle, calm, yet unforgettable. And in a way, through these tiny creations, I found my way back to a place I never thought I had left.
I love my little town. In the summertime our population triples because of the people who have lake homes and live here during the summer.
The county I live in has over 100 lakes, so I asked AI to create a lake home. We donāt have palm trees, but AI put one in anyway. I love it! It would be fantastic if @Robotime could make a kit like this one!
I am living in Jamshedpur, known as the Steel City, where youāre constantly surrounded by a unique blend of industrial strength and lush greenery. My favorite memory is walking through Jubilee Park as the sun set the way the light hit the fountains reminded me that even in a city built on steel, there is an incredible amount of soul and artistry. Itās a place that teaches you how to build things that last, much like a Robotime model. To me, Robotime represents more than just a hobby, itās a form of āanalogā meditation. In a world dominated by digital screens, these models bring me back to the physical world. There is a deep sense of satisfaction in seeing a flat sheet of wood or plastic transform into a detailed, living miniature. Itās my go-to way to recharge my creative batteries and find peace after a long day.
If my city (Jamshedpur) became a Robotime kit, it would be the iconic Dorabji Tata Park. I imagine an intricate wooden laser-cut model featuring the grand iconic Diamond and the musical fountains. Adding tiny LED warm lights to simulate the evening fountain show would capture the soul of the Steel City in a miniature, cozy format.
Here is the prompt I used to generate this pic along with the Parkās real image - "The Spirit of Jamshedpur: Dorabji Tata Park Miniature Kit.
An advanced, laser-cut wooden model that reconstructs the iconic heart of the Steel City. The center of the model features the magnificent, geometric Diamond structure, with its multi-faceted steel framework and open-air amphitheater seating. This centerpiece overlooks the intricate musical fountain, which is illuminated by specialized, color-changing LEDs that simulate the parkās famous evening water and light show. The grounds are lush, built from tiered wooden landscaping and varied miniature foliage, leading to an ornate main entrance. The wooden base of the model includes subtle, integrated cogs and industrial motifs, paying tribute to Jamshedpurās heritage. A tiny silhouette of Jamshed ji Tata stands sentinel near the gate. When lit, this kit captures the warm, cozy, and vibrant soul of the city in a stunning miniature format."
I am in Greeley CO USA! Bought a house here when prices were reasonable and love the small town feel yet I have access to all the big city privileges and stores!
Hi, Iām from Quezon City,. Philippines. i had been staying here for almost 4 decades already. Thereās a lot of memories happened in Quezon City, let me share you one, I met and married my husband in this city thru an eyeball from the filipino-chinese chatroom, fast forward, we are happily married for 24 years with 2 children. Robotime brings me joy everytime Iām building a kit, from unboxing the tiny pieces to assembling it one by one. Exciting to see how to see them all connected until the final outcome.
I live here which is a very small town in a rural area of Washington state. It is very peaceful and we have a lot of acreage and neighbors are far away. We have to drive a distance to find much to do so I really enjoy spending time in the house surrounded by trees and discovered my first kit in a thrift store (unopened). It was the projector. I quickly became addicted to the kits and have several of them.. Iām planning to start soon the pinball machine which I am really excited about.
There is not much in my town but if I could make a nearby landmark into a kit I would create Mt. St. Helens.
The Gold Coast is a strange kind of city. Where I came from was more like a country town, always bumping into people you know and finding jobs through personal networks. The Gold Coast is half like this, but half like an impersonal robot - a tourist town, where many treat you like a tourist however long you go to that place.
There are many tourist place here. If I could see a Robotime DIY kit made for this town, what I would love is a detailed wooden miniature model of either the SeaWorld Dolphin performance arena or a modified version of the penguin house. The warm natural wood and intimate structure would be a great fit for the cost atmosphere of the penguin house in particular.
I grew up in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and most or my family still lives here. Fun fact: the modern apple originated here, and āalmaā in the cityās name means āappleā. I guess there arenāt many people from that area on this forum haha. I wish we also had some sort of in-person community events, they look like lots of fun!
Our most famous landmark is Medeu ice skating rink, located high in the mountains. Itās currently undergoing a massive reconstruction, but if youāre ever in the city, itās a must-see! Here is what it would look like as a ROKR kit according to Gemini:
Hi Melinda! You are almost in my backyard. I like your idea of the penguin exhibit at SeaWorld, but I also think the Surfers Paradise sign would be iconic.
An important memory for me is how when I moved to a new state with my parents, they gave me a Robotime kit. It was the first decoration in my house. Even before my bedframe. We have been here for a little while now and this craft still brings me joy.
