Gift for my mother

Here is a gift from my mother. I’ve been feeling a bit down lately because I’m going through back-to-back medical appointments. They suspect I have PCOS, and it’s getting me down, even though it would explain a lot of my health issues. Her gift was probably a way to help me escape into the innocence of childhood. I have wonderful memories of carousels. When I was little, there was a square near my house with a merry-go-round, and on our way home from daycare, my mom would always let me go on a few rides. Plus, I live close to Europa-Park, so I’ve spent plenty of time there. The last amusement park I went to was Gardaland in Italy with my boyfriend, a little over a year ago. What about you, what is your relationship with carousels?

This is not an easy one to do. Be sure that you sand and wax well. I struggled quite a bit with assembly, so I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

I am hoping this is not the case but treatments are advancing here. Meanwhile I will keep you in my prayers for good health and healing.

That is a lovely gift! Are you planning to color it?

Don’t let the PCOS diagnosis get you down. My daughter was also diagnosed with PCOS a few years back, and she’s doing well now. I hope your appointments bring you some answers and, hopefully, a clearer path forward. Sending you a big hug! :hugs:

As for my relationship with carousels… The last one I rode was at DisneySea. Not exactly because I was feeling nostalgic, though—the line was the shortest, and I was trying to escape the scorching heat! :joy::sun::carousel_horse:

I’m actually working on this exact kit right now. What I have learned so far is to be VERY careful. Some very fragile pieces

Feel better soon @ana_vlmt :bouquet: This looks like a very fun build and you can customize it to your liking! :ferris_wheel:

That’s a great gift from your mum, are you going to customise it or leave it plain

If it has metal rods in it don’t make the same mistake as me and make sure you measure every one against the instructions  that’s where I went wrong on my ROKR kit (it wasn’t a carrousel though)

Tbh I don’t really recall being on many carrousels but there’s not really any fairgrounds or theme parks near where I stay

I’m sorry to hear about the back-to-back medical appointments. I hope you feel better soon. I’ve always had fond memories of riding carousels with my sisters as a child.

Sorry to hear about your medical issues. Stay strong and you’ll get through. This is a wonderfully thoughtful gift for your mother.

What a beautiful and thoughtful gift from your mom. I love how it brought back such special childhood memories for you, and the carousel has such a sweet nostalgic feeling to it. I hope building it gives you a little escape from all the appointments and brings back some of those happy memories.

i dont no ! @ThaoNguyen
