I’ve had a bit of a quiet week this week. I’ve been plagued by bad headaches so building took a back seat some nights and bed was a better activity.
I have four spinning wheels for all of my builds: “under my desk” (that’s where they are stored, “Christmas”, “Retired kits/Chinese kits”, and “Wooden and flowers”.
I spun up the one on “Under my desk” and this was the result.
This is a snap together build that I got from Temu. The wood is great quality and the instructions were clearly written.
I really didn’t feel like colouring edges and since most of the build was brown, I didn’t bother. Although I sanded burrs, I was happy with the weathered look that it created.
The battery is housed on the top floor. It keeps coming off because it only had two anchor points but I will probably glue that down.
I’ve out this aside for a stall. Sadly, the Mother’s Day stall didn’t go ahead but there are others through the year.
Suzanne_Jones, I hope the headaches ease up soon, and it is nice that you gave yourself room for a quieter build week. The weathered look works so well with that grocery store, especially since you kept the finish simple and natural. Your spinning wheel system for choosing builds is such a fun idea!

It turned out so lovely, Sue. And I really like that slightly weathered look on it too. I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough week with headaches though, and I hope you’re feeling a bit better now
