After several weeks since my first attempt at building the pagoda model, I’ve finally made peace with the kit, haha.
In case you missed the first part, I broke a piece right at the start.
Well, the second problem I have with this type of kit is that all, absolutely all, of the pieces need to be sanded. And there are a lot of them!
Most of them chip or have rough edges, which I personally don’t like. I prefer everything to be smooth.
Ewwww I can’t stand that. I’m sorry you are going through this it’s such a nice it too. Hopefully it gets easier!
Today I’m going to continue a little, but sanding so much makes it slow to build.

There will always be sanding where wood is involved, but it is much easier to turn the board over and cut the tabs (before removing) using a razor knife. Hope this helps.
Some kits really need more patience. I hope you can move pass through all the sanding and successfully build the pagoda

I’ve already had to stop again; right at the start I broke a piece that can’t be replaced. I glued the piece back on, but it’s not very secure. 
This is my first kit of this type, and I’m not entirely convinced by this type of wood. Thanks for your advice.
This is taking up all my energy, hahaha. I’m more stressed than relaxed; I’m even sweating while building it, hahaha. I’ll finish it eventually, but I’m going slowly. I’ve already broken another piece that can’t be replaced.
I love the pagoda, but I’d prefer a different material. Like the other kits you’ve built, I love that wood.
I used to dislike that as well @Sasa but I now use a scalpel or razor knife to seperate the joints so there less of that and could avoid breaking and chipping. You may give it a try. Good luck with it @Sasa . I’m sure you will do a wonderful job with it. 
I’m about halfway through, and it’s a very different kit in terms of how you work with the wood, assemble it, etc. I hope to finish it soon.
When I first started, I did get some cheap kits from Temu to try. It’s not too expensive. And literally almost every parts got chipped. It drives me bananas. But got around to it and complete it but definitely not the style of kit that ị would prefer. Looking forward to your completed kit.
There is indeed a lot of sanding needed. But I thought it was relaxing. I have built this kit one story at the time. So I did limit the amount of pieces per day like that.
I don’t like sanding so much, plus the skin on my fingers gets incredibly dry; I have to keep applying moisturizer.
I’m so glad it relaxed you. Honestly, this kit is stressing me out, haha, but I want to finish it since it’s Japanese.
@Sasa oh no so much sanding ! Just take a break and go back to it … i normally just have a coffee and a chill lol ! 
I can’t stand sanding too much mini pieces as well. 
That’s what I’m doing haha, it’s just that it takes me a long time to build it.
