Five-storied Pagoda 1.0

Hi!

I’ve finally started my first prize on the leaderboard.

I loved that it was a pagoda; I love Japan, as you know.

He’s never built a kit like this before.

The wood is very thin and of lower quality.

I was already careful when I touched it.

And in less than 10 minutes I already had my first heart attack hahaha.

If you look at the frame, at the bottom left side, the part that joins the part that looks like a square, it cracked when I removed it.

This kit will make me hold my breath until I remove the pieces.

I’ve had this happen to me before with a kit with lower quality wood and I literally had a meltdown. Luckily glue can help fix anything!! Wishing you the best of luck and can’t wait to see it finished!

Remove them slowly and use a craft knife to help reduce the risk of breaks @Sasa. Good luck with the pagoda.

@Sasa i hope you dont get any more cracks hun ! I looks super fragile ! :cherry_blossom::cherry_blossom::cherry_blossom::cherry_blossom::heart:

Thank you so much!

I’ll keep posting to see what I find with this kit, haha.

I think I’m going to have a lot of heart attacks.

Oh, I hadn’t thought of using a cutter, thank you so much!

I hope not! It’s a shame, at least this one will be covered since it’s the base.

Remove them slowly or use knife. They are too fragile

It is a lot more fragile compared to other kits. I can also recommend sanding on some parts. Like when you get to the part where you need to attach railings next to the ‘doors’. I remember from building mine that it helped to get the pieces to fit easier.

Will you be customizing this kit?

I can imagine this is a very thin fragile kit

Yes! I realized it when I broke one.
I was used to the kits I’d built up until now.

Thank you so much!

Yes, I realized I have to sand almost every piece! They’re not smooth when I take them out.

Unfortunately, I’m not going to paint it, hahaha, I feel bad about ruining it!

Super glue is always here for help!

I was about to ask you a question about that but no need now for it. What a pity you can’t paint it. But the most important is to finish it. Good luck :four_leaf_clover:

Oh no. This is a challenging kit.

Hahaha, you’re right!

I’m just too much of a perfectionist. If the color doesn’t take well, or it doesn’t turn out the color I’d like, etc., I get frustrated, haha, and I even studied fine arts!

Looks like I got off on the wrong foot, hehehe

Good luck with this and I can’t wait for the outcome. Are you planning to paint this one like the others did?
