Figured it was time I stopped lurking and actually introduced myself

Aww hi! That was such a lovely read about yourself! :pink_heart: I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your internship at the United Nations. How awesome is that!

You described exactly how I feel about miniatures, they’re so easy to feel at home in.

I love museums and history too! I’ve been to Shanghai and I’d love to go back and visit your city! Also stopping by the Robotime factory as well!

I love gaming too but I tend to stick to cozy or plot-heavy games without too much combat, because I’m terrible at that.

It would be super cool if we could all meet one day! :pink_heart: Thanks for looking after us in the community here!

Thank you for the introduction. It was really nice meeting the Robotime team and you made us feel more familiar and connected. We truly appreciate all the wonderful stories you share. I am still hoping and praying that one day we get to visit the factory and meet all of you in person. That would be sooooo cool and really nice.

I also enjoy playing MMORPGs and MOBAs, but I am more into MOBAs. Since you like strategy games, you might want to try ANNO 1800 on Steam. I recently played it, but my country almost always ends up bankrupt, hahahaha. I will definitely play it again when time permits.

Well…I am my own boss(self-employed)…but never want to be considered a boss of the page (of ANY state). I value every member here…and am always looking to add more. It’s tough because so many members of the ROKR fans page are even older than me..and I am 62. I struggled A LOT in the beginning and still can not do a lot of things. It’s a generational gap. We did not grow up with technology at our hands. I have pm’d with SO Many who struggle and they just can’t get things to work for them. Thanks, though. @Atropex

There’s a line from a novel I really love: “The world is big, but life is even bigger. We’re bound to meet again.” I truly believe that one day, we’ll get to meet everyone from the community in real life too.

That’s an awesome quote! What book is that from? :pink_heart: Wishful thinking! :face_holding_back_tears:

It comes from the science fiction novel 《The Three-Body Problem》. In the story, a character named Sophon says this to the protagonist.
Years later, they do meet again, in another part of the universe.

This genuinely made my day. Thank you for such kind words. That really means a lot coming from you guys :yellow_heart:

And I love that the 姐姐 energy landed exactly where it should :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:…. Rainforests, sustainability, miniature worlds, and people who care a little too much about details seem to find each other somehow :face_with_monocle::saluting_face:

Your “secret” made me laugh :joy: Poor Simon already sounds stressed in the best possible way. Please tell him there is absolutely no pressure at all, though the fact that he is already thinking about what people might like says everything. That alone will be more than enough. :folded_hands:t3::woman_bowing:t2:

And fair point about the Xiaolongbao. I will forgive this only because science and international flights are against us. Shanghai will simply have to wait :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Really glad to be here with you, and really glad our paths crossed in this tiny world!

Is that 三体? I’ve been meaning to watch the show but can never find the time. :face_holding_back_tears: You sound like a fan I’m sure it must be a great book/show then! :pink_heart:

Yeah! The original English translation of 三体 is excellent. I wouldn’t really recommend the Netflix adaptation though. While it does adapt well to an English speaking audience, it loses some of the unique Chinese aesthetics that make the story so special.

That’s wonderful, Mingche! :glowing_star: Yancheng sounds like such a peaceful and beautiful place, and it’s amazing how you’ve brought that same warmth into the Robotime community. The way you describe the support here really captures what makes it special—it feels genuine, uplifting, and connected.
