Just a cozy talk from today

Hello, my dearest readers!

Today I’m trying something new, as I usually post about my construction completions. I hope you’ll like a small story instead.

First of all, I had a cozy Saturday that I spent with my dear friend. We went to see Zootopia 2 (thankfully they’re still playing it even though it’s long after the premiere — totally recommend it ), and then did a bit of shopping. We both checked out a new shop that recently opened in Warsaw — very famous in Asia — MINISO :star_struck:
This shop is perfect for people like us: my friend is an anime addict, and I just love everything cute and shiny

I was browsing through the shop when I saw this!

I was soooooo happy to see that the Robotime brand is becoming more available for people who don’t know what or where to look for online, but still wish to start crafting — or don’t even know it’s possible. Of course, I had to take a picture and share it with you all :star_struck:

The second part of the day was a surprise gift my friend gave me (late for Christmas, but we simply weren’t able to meet earlier). She’s still very young, and I don’t like her spending money on me, but she bought me this adorable set! So lovely!

Now a funny story: we went to a Korean restaurant to eat something. I usually love Korean food, but sometimes it’s too spicy for me (I have a really low tolerance for spicy food). I saw that they had a lighter version of tteokbokki. I’ve tried it once before — and I cried while eating it because it was so spicy.
This time I thought: if it’s a lighter version, maybe it’ll be good for me.

So… there was progress — I didn’t cry this time — but I still couldn’t finish it. My friend swapped with me, gave me her gyoza, and ate my tteokbokki
Another fail at trying to be Asian xD Meanwhile, in Korea, small children eat the original version. I’m so weak!

The 4th thing I want to share with you all is my overexcitement about a new booknook that’s on its way to me. I was wondering if I should share it here, as it’s not a Robotime one :worried: (forgive me this betrayal), but the theme was just perfect for me.

!

My big dream is to visit Mexico on November 1st to celebrate Día de los Muertos. And can you just look at this? I know this brand doesn’t have such a high level of quality and uses a totally different way of assembling, but I simply couldn’t resist the theme.

P.P.S. Ugh… another time when I typed on my phone and posted the topic instead of adding the picture xD Sorry about that. One day I’ll learn

Oooh I’m so happy so now we can find robotime products in miniso?? :sob: this is such great news!! next time my mom travels somewhere where miniso is available I’ll bother her into buying me something!! also I love that you enjoyed your outing with your friend so much, I wish I can try korean food (it’s not available in my country) but is it true that its sweet?? because I don’t think I’ll like it that much if its sweet but oh well I still want to try it!! and reading your post makes wish that the outing I’m going to with my friend would come sooner :sob:

This is such a fun read! I didn’t know Miniso carries Robotime stock but maybe it’s different for every country.

Also that’s such a thoughtful gift from you friend! :pink_heart: I wouldn’t be able to resist the Coco theme book nook too!

Hahahaha don’t worry I feel you with the spiciness. My partner is Korean so every time I visit his house his mum makes me a separate not so spicy version. :sob:

I was thinking, How the heck would Excel work? Yes Word! Much better! LOL now get some rest!

Hi @valleyggoo, I was also very surprised, but I love the outcome! I’m very grateful for my friend, she is awesome. And about Korean food, hmmmm… sometimes it’s a little bit sweet, especially since they have many dishes with Azuki (red bean), but they also have many foods with delicious meat and also really spicy ones that are traditional for them! So I think, you can find a perfect taste when you try it one day. My favorite is mandu dumplings. Never tried better ones than in South Korea.

I wish that your outing with your friends will be as wonderful as can be :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I know right?! Looks like taken from the Disney Coco movie. The one skeleton looks exactly like aunt Tia Rosita.

About your family part, that’s so nice of your mother-in-law! I have a asian soul. I really like the tradition and food, just the spices are too strong for me. Even in a Polish kitchen i do not use that many :frowning: I prefere plain food (my stomach also) xD

Did you two meet in New Zealand or in Korea?

For the booknook that you’ve shared, I’ve also have eyes on that and planning to buy one in the future since I’m a fan of skeleton. I would love to see your updates when you build that one.
