It’s reassuring to know I wasn’t the only one who found it challenging! My fingers were definitely sore by the end too.
I’m really happy I kept going, and painting the flowers made the whole experience worth it. ![]()
You are my welcome

The soft colours lend a romantic feel to the camellia. To be honest, this is so very you!!
I think your experiment turned out beautifully! The soft vintage colors give the flowers so much character, and honestly, they make the little imperfections feel intentional. Sometimes those unexpected changes end up creating something even more unique. I love that you didn’t give up and found a creative way to make the flowers your own. ![]()
You’re very welcome. I love seeing people try new things… and then share their ideas.
Aww, thank you so much! ![]()
I actually used a paint with really good coverage, so it didn’t take many coats. The hardest part was reaching all the little corners inside the flowers.
Thank you so much ![]()

I agree! It actually started as a way to hide a few imperfections, but in the end it made the whole build feel much more personal.
Thank you for your sweet comment ![]()
You are not alone by the way. I am not a big flower fan as I tend to be a little too heavy handed as well. I too learned the hard way. If I do make these I wax every tab petal and sand if needed. That has greatly helped with my success. but that does not mean I choose to do them often!
Thank you so much! ![]()
They were definitely trickier than I expected! I wish I’d thought about sanding and waxing before I started. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future Rowood builds. Thanks for the tip! ![]()
