I couldn’t wait and ended up starting the hot air balloon today.

Since I decided to start with some smaller builds first, this is actually the first one I’m working on. So far, I’m really enjoying it. It’s been fun getting started and seeing the early stages begin to come together.

Even though I just started, I can already tell this one is going to look really nice once it’s finished. It feels like a good introduction to these smaller kits.

This is my first update, and I’ll share a couple more as I make progress.

Everything is going very well. The curved pieces of wood are very fragile.

They are! I was scared they would break.

I’m terrified. I was once injured and had to be glued back together. It’s horrible to remember.

It’s gotten more sturdy as I connected all the pieces.

I was scared it was gonna break but no pieces have broken so far.

This hot air balloon is beautiful. I’m thinking of doing another one and painted it.

It’s going to a while. It’s just a plan. I have got a lot of kit to build.

Better to have too many kits to build than not enough.

This was a tough one for me…mainly because I painted it before assembling. Pieces were so tight going together. You’re off to a great start.
