Completed - Wooden Bloom Box

I wish that I could say that this was my favourite build, but it wasn’t.
I love the flowers and the fact that they look fantastic when finished. And my husband commented that they don’t need watering (which is apparently a good thing for me) ha ha.
I had to reduce the size of the stems to put it together.
Since I had previously glued the stem of one of the roses, this proved a little difficult but I did it.
Then disaster struck and the head of the rose broke off.

I tried several options to glue it back on including different glues. None of them worked. I was about to pull out the hot glue gun but decided to try something else first.
I used a couple of leftover pieces and glued them on either side to hold the head in a stable position enough to be able to place it back in the box.
I loved adding the little bugs to the build.

Finally, I have finished! This is going to stay on the buffet in my lounge room.

Next build! I’m starting as soon a si finish my cup of tea.

They look amazing regardless of breakage :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Great work. This build is beautiful. I generally use the glue B7000 and it works really well. The bugs are cute. I love them

I’m sorry to know about your broken rose. The wooden bloom box is still beautiful though. :pink_heart: I’m happy to know that you’re able to glue the rose and I’m looking forward to your next build. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I see that many people complain about the roses; there’s another arrangement with just one rose that many people complain about because it breaks.

Yours turned out very nice, and it’s not noticeable.

I love that little country house!

Thankyou Alice for being so kind

I did use the B7000, and also tried wood glue but it was difficult to mend. It finally worked with two little pieces of wood glued either side to hold it stable.

Thankyou Nicole for your kind words

I haven’t done the single rose. I think the rose bud is very heavy and it can cause issues on the thinner stem.

They turned out so beautiful…and I agree. They are not quite as easy as you would think. Enjoy the A-frame. I loved it.

What a clever repair! Using scraps from the wood sheets to fix that rose was such a smart solution—I love how creative builders get when they’re problem-solving. The finished bouquet looks absolutely beautiful, and honestly, you can’t even tell there was any work done. Really impressed with how it all came together! :rose:

Your flowers look beautiful  the wooden roses are really tricky because they really are top heavy. I’m glad you were able to fix it. Now you have a lovely piece of art to display

Sorry you not enjoyed much of this set :frowning: It’s one on my fav ,so far, I’ve done. But hey that’s why there is so many that everyone can find themselves the one he/she loved.
I’m surprised you needed to use a glue here. I did not at all. And there are prolonged stems for using as a bouquet in vase but for the box you just need few of them. Good that you saved the rose!

Lovely next project, hope will be better for you <3
