This is not a Robotime or Rolife kit, and out of respect for the company, I’m not naming the brand here. If you’re curious, it’s easy enough to find.
I’ve been continuing on Whispering Hollow and worked through steps 11–73 this session, focusing on getting a lot of the base pieces in place.
You can really start to see things come together now. The waterfall is lighting up and flowing down into the pond, and the mechanical music box is in place in the center with movement, which is such a fun detail to watch.
I did run into a small issue with the music box making a bit of a grinding sound at first. It seemed like it was rubbing slightly, so I added a little wax and that smoothed it out. It’s playing correctly now, but I’ll keep an eye on it. If it starts up again, I realized you can remove the bottom to add a drop of oil, which would be much easier if there were a small access door built in.
I did notice I could’ve used a few more rocks in this section. I may look through my stash later to see if I have something that fits, but I’m going to hold off on modifying anything until I see how the rest of the build comes together.
