This is not a Robotime or Rolife kit, and out of respect for the company, I’m not naming the brand here. If you’re curious, it’s easy enough to find.
I’ve been continuing on Whispering Hollow and worked through steps 162–215 this session. For perspective, this build has a total of 263 steps, so it’s definitely starting to feel like the finish line is coming into view.
This part added a lot of the smaller details, and I’ll be honest… some of the proportions had me scratching my head a bit. The deer are about the same size as the pumpkins, and the basket is huge in comparison. At this point I’m just going with it and imagining these little villagers grow some giant pumpkins and need oversized baskets to carry them.
The tree in this section was massive and probably one of the more challenging builds so far. It felt a little chaotic putting it together, but once it was done, it actually came out looking pretty good.
One thing I really liked in this part was the lighting. The tiny LED lights have little black covers that make them look like actual fixtures, and the wires are so thin they’re easy to hide. It makes a big difference in how finished everything looks.
Next up is adding the grass, which I think is going to completely change the overall feel again.
What’s your take on scale in these kits? Do you stick with what’s provided, or does it bug you enough to start swapping things out?
