This is not a Robotime or Rolife kit, and out of respect for the company, I’m not naming the brand here. If you’re curious, it’s easy enough to find.
This is my final post for this build, and I’ll link the earlier parts below for anyone who wants to follow the full process.
Part 1: [Pro Tips] I Think I May Have Committed to Something Big (not Rolife)
Part 2: [DIY & Creativity] Back at It and It Is Starting to Come to Life (not Rolife)
Part 3: [Challenge & Achievement] Starting to Build Up the Village (not Rolife)
Part 4: We Are Definitely Getting Close Now (not Rolife)
Part 5: When the Kit Stops and the Creativity Starts (not Rolife)
This one really came together in the end. The lighting, movement, and all the little details work well together and make it feel like a complete scene.
The customization ended up being my favorite part. Swapping out the original tree for real foliage, adding extra greenery, and filling in some of the empty spaces made a big difference in how finished everything feels. Some of the best details came from just using what I had on hand, including the packaging material for the waterfall mist.
There were a few small frustrations along the way, and I did have to do a bit of adjusting and fixing to get everything to fit the way I wanted, but that’s part of what makes the final result feel earned.
Overall, I really like how this turned out. For me, it didn’t quite feel like it matched the price point, but I can definitely appreciate the design and the experience of building it.
I did run into one issue at the end with the dust cover arriving with a broken top piece, so I’ve submitted a replacement request and I’m curious to see how that process goes.
For those of you who have built similar kits, do you usually stick with the original design, or do you start customizing once you see ways to improve it?
