I got my very first kit Paris Midnight on Facebook Marketplace. I was scrolling and saw it in a post amongst other toys. The seller was moving the next day and was urgently selling, so it was only $5 AUD. I took a bus that day and picked it up, the seller seemed kind of bewildered.
I had a lot of fun making the intricate furniture and the kit is super pretty, and since then I’ve fallen in love with Rolife.
this was my very first kit. I was finding for some complex puzzles to build and was scrolling through Amazon and I found this. I asked my mother to buy it for me and when it arrived, I immediately built it. As expected, it was my first time and I was failing all the waxing and the gears wouldn’t turn smoothly but that fueled my determination for making a perfect kit more. I decided to buy more and got better and better and im still currently finding for something of a higher difficulty!
In the start of 2023 I was looking for a new hobby to relax on my day off. Online I saw some wooden models and thought lets try that. I bought the Luminous Globe and after building it I was sold. Since then I have build dozens of models mainly from the Robotime brands. It really gives me some relax time just focussing on the creation of the models.
I can’t belive i forgot about this one! We were at phoenix childrens hospital when my son was diagnosed with cancer. He went in for another test so i went down to the gift shop and they had book nooks and this rokr in the corner! I decided to give it a shot. The nurses had no clue the gift shop sold them, i went down the next day and there was only ONE left! I felt calm while my son was off doing all his testing instead of pacing the room. Ever since, when i would get overwhelmed, i would work on a rokr!
My first model or my relationship with Rolife/Robotime.
I bought this model for my sister’s birthday, she loves cooking so I thought a disease would be a great thing. Luckily I chose to have it assembled instead of letting her do it herself.
From the moment I opened the box I saw the meticulousness in every detail, the way it fits together is amazing.
And since then I have not missed any model of Rolife/Robotime
Luminous Globe is also my first ROKR. When I saw them spinning automatically in the store, I was attracted to it and from then on I started buying ROKR kits.
My very first Rolife kit — Super Creator Yum Yum Burgers!
It was a special birthday gift for my 8th birthday in 2025, and that’s how I fell in love with Rolife!
I still remember how happy I was building every tiny piece — it felt like creating my own little world.
That first video I shared on my Instagram (@keenansatriaperdana) became the start of my Rolife journey.
Later, Rolife trusted me to unbox and review their newest kit — Sakura Wine Alley!
I’m so grateful and super happy because I really love Rolife products. Since then, I’ve collected many more of their series!
I hope Rolife will trust me again to unbox and review their new collection next time!
Hi @Keenan
Welcome to the Robotime Community
This is such a joyful story to read!
From your first birthday build to your Sakura Wine Alley review, you’ve grown into a true Super Creator. We’re grateful for your passion and the way you share it with everyone.
My passion for miniatures began at age 20 but was set aside. This year, seeing an influencer share ROKR reignited my interest! I chose the complex Dream Gift Factory to also introduce my 6 yo daughter to craftsmanship.
We started together: she was the “Preparation Manager,” proudly punching out the pieces. However, the high-difficulty gears soon tested her limited patience, and she happily quit!
I embraced the challenge myself, completing the project in six focused days. The moment the Factory lit up, moved, and played music was pure magic. I fell in love with ROKR for its engineering and for giving me a symbol of perseverance - a new cherished family piece!
I am a member on facebook (fb) and would come upon reels with these things called booknooks. Although I really do not have bookshelves filled with books, I found these intriguing! I have always loved doll houses and miniatures.
One of my favorite things to see is the famous doll house in the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago. (link to site and video: Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle)
I could go there and spend a ton of time just looking at everything!
When I saw the Rolife builds, I had to look and see more. I went on Amazon and that is where I saw the Baking Kitchen! I had to give it a try!
It went together well and I had minimal issues. My biggest was the wiring. It worked fine until I had everything glued and set, then suddenly it was more flickery. I have since learned what to do better!
My biggest tip is to take your time, do not skip ahead, and use this group for help and support!
I loved it so much I have done 3 more, another in the wings, and 2 to order! Once those are done I will definitely do a booknook! as I have been doing the rooms.
