4D model of Barad Dur from The Lord of The Rings

.So I did a thing.. anyone who knows me knows how much of a Lord of the Rings fan I am. When I saw this I couldn’t resist and bought it. Barad Dur 4d build. It was a minor pain in the butt honestly. It’s a foam board construction and uses tabs to put together and once they are bent

and outta shape that’s it. that But the detail is fantastic on it really. This puppy is tall at about two feet Now I gotta find a place to put this. Tried to upload a video but I don’t have a YouTube to do so and haven’t loaded it to my instagram

This is such a cool kit. Does it light?

@Anje_Leonoza_Mira no but I thought it would need it to! It’s hollow inside so should be easy enough to add lights

It looks great! And yes, if it is hollow, lights should be quite easy to add. It would give it a more majestic glow.

Wow, that looks like a delicate and complex kit, congratulations!

I hate paper, haha, I’d end up tearing it up.

@sasa I hate paper as well, but this turned out to be foam board, which is a little more stable. But even still it was a process for sure lol. thank you!
