SPE-C-TA-CU-LAR!!! It looks like a completely different ship, @haunna!!! I’m such a big fan of the details you added, the colors of the ship and the interior lights look so authentic too. I really hope to keep seeing more of your projects here, I love the changes you keep adding!
Amazing job. I feel a little bad now just building it and adding nothing extra. This is teaching me that i need to learn to have more patience and take the time to make it my own.
This is the best-looking pirate ship I’ve seen in months!!
I’ve been wondering if this thing would float in water (it might need some waterproofing on the bottom).
It took a long time to complete. The work is very detailed and more beautiful than just black. Your lamp really surprised me. I want to know your creativity.
Oh my goodness, your modification is really amazing! This is the best DIY Seahorse Barque I have ever seen. I look forward to seeing more of your creations. I hope you will share your modification ideas with us sometime.
This has to be one of the most detailed and creative DIY Seahorse Barques I’ve ever seen! The custom colors, cannons, chains, and those red and blue lighting effects—every detail is so thoughtfully executed.
Wow — absolutely stunning! Six weeks of work really paid off — the burgundy, black, and gold combo looks incredible, and those glowing cannons and cabin light bring the whole ship to life.
The Seahorse Barque is truly a masterpiece—every detail shows the love and dedication you poured into it over these weeks. It’s clear this wasn’t just a build—it was a journey.
I bought this too, but I haven’t started yet! I think I can learn from you—this idea is brilliant, and it looks so unique! It must take a lot of effort, and I have to say, it’s really impressive. Looking forward to your future updates!
Spending four hours a day on it honestly sounds like pure fun—I bet you enjoyed every minute. The color combo is absolutely flawless
Can’t wait to see what you create next!
Awesome! I was waiting for this one to be finished. I will use a LED base kit. and use different colors. I will do something similar but use a wireless remote LED for an easier on and off. I even asked the Robotime/ROKR team for an idea on small smoke/flash generators for the cannons. I might need to create that action. They suggested a light generator for the flash. Overall, great job and I will be making it next after I get my Sakura world done.
Thanks.
I tried using a 2mm thick piece of light filament in each cannon so there would be a flashing of light as each fired with the light generator hidden.
But the cannons have a flaw in their molding. About a 1/2 inch down the barrel the plastic is too thin to drill (even with a model hand drill) and the barrel just wraps around the drill bit.
I tried drilling at very slow and fast rates with the same results. I had to order new cannons because I experimented so much. lol
In the end I settled with tiny 3mm red rhinestones in the end of each of the lower deck to simulate firing.
Wireless would be better as long as you can still get to the batteries for changing.
I thought about smoke but it IS pretty pricy. A real mini fog generator costs $35 to $50 bucks.
And you don’t want to use a humidifier chip the moisture will ruin the wood even though they are much cheaper.
I’m thinking of buying the fog generator and using it on the Shuttle model.
