After finishing the Seahorse Barque, I told myself that I’ll take a little break from big builds and do something a little easier and more relaxing. And then I saw the magic library in my stash and I thought I’d like to tackle this one.
It’s mostly snap on with some glueing involved. It was so much fun building this. The unique shape makes it very challenging and aesthetically pleasing. A fun homage to Harry Potter.
I painted a lot using furniture touch up pens and acrylic for the burrs and broken parts. That being said, the parts are fragile. But they have replacements on the boards which I truly appreciated.
This time around, I didn’t wrap the tiny books in the beginning as instructed. I’d like to wait until the base and furnitures were built. I just wrapped the books as I go.
Unfortunately, I ran across a problem towards the end. I didn’t realize that the battery pack was destroyed on transit. Thank goodness after contacting Amazon they offered a replacement the following day. I Amazon!
It’s a bit challenging, but I just took my time. The parts are fragile, but they have a lot of replacement parts. The most challenging for me are the stairs. But once it’s done, you gotta see the big reveal @serenebliss_23
Wow nice! I have a bookmark set on AliExpress with my miniatures find that are not available in Poland. I belive its called Magic Library. Can’t wait to see the final result!
I also love that this set has a standing support! So you don’t need to hang it but it can stand on its own!
