When You Just Need to Build — Outside the Rolife World

Sometimes the in-between builds become the ones I need most.

I’ve collected and built these little mini brick kits over the past few months—usually as my in-between everything projects. The grocery store was actually supposed to be my current reset build, a little break between Moominhouse and getting back to customizing the Slow Life Café exterior.

Then my son surprised me with another Sakura mini brick bag last night. :face_holding_back_tears::cherry_blossom:

It’s the second piece in the botanical series—I already have the bonsai—and honestly, I just wanted to build it. So, I did. No schedule, no “I should finish this first,” no particular reason other than I needed the distraction.

With our company board meeting coming up in a few hours and my anxiety creeping in, this was exactly what I needed: tiny pieces, quiet concentration, and something completely unrelated to work.

Apparently, this is my version of stress management.

P.S. I’ve also been working on the café exterior. Hopefully, it’ll be ready soon! Then all that’s left is to finalize the menu.

@Gidge How lovely of your son! The Sakura tree turned out so cute alongside your bonsai. There’s really nothing better than a little stress free mini building to help clear your head and calm the nerves. Wishing you all the best with your company meeting hun !,:heart:

I love those mini brick builds…or most brick builds.
I’ve been doing some myself. And then I see other cute ones online that I want as well.
Was going to do a couple of brick builds today but changed my mind.
I find that they are quick and calming.
I hope that your meeting went well.

Mini bricks are the best in between builds. They are just very relaxing and fun, with no pressure

I love this so much! Sometimes a little in-between build is exactly what we need, especially when life and work start feeling overwhelming. Those tiny pieces can be such a great distraction and a perfect way to reset your mind. Wishing you the best with the board meeting, and I can’t wait to see the café exterior when it’s finished!
