My weekend has been spent creating.
Once I fixed The Last Drop, I pulled out a cheaper Temu wooden build of a music room. Even with colouring all edges, I had it completed in a couple of hours. Not gonna lie, I was pretty impressed with the piano and drum kit. But forgot to take a photo.
Next up, was my next foray into Rolife’s miniature stores with the Musical Instrument Shop.
Again, I loved everything about this perfect little model.
You start by making all of the instruments.
I wish you could see it in the photo, but there is gold glitter on the strings of the harp. I also drew over the embossing on the base. Sadly, it doesn’t show so well, but the glitter pen provided by Rolife was a nice touch.
The walls went up super quick and easy.
Then it’s time to stock the display window with your masterpieces of music.
Once they are in place, you fit the little struts to support your curved window. I had to use glue to hold these in but surprisingly (for me), the window was great to put in.
Then it’s time to decorate the top.
Thanks Robotime for your little engineering masterpiece of the crosscut wood that allows the sign to curve!
Once, the roof is on, the decoration of outside the shop takes place. I have to say that the accordion was my favourite part of the build!! I loved it.
Music has always been a huge part of my life and I can’t imagine a life without it. Not that I have played the piano since I was a child but I have my grandmothers piano (German built in the late 1800s) and I occasionally pick out a tune with one hand.
Pros
- A nice, quick build that is perfect for between bigger builds or when you just want something easier to do
- Fits in the palm of your hand (less storage space)
- The glitter pen provided
- The sense of accomplishment
Cons - to be honest, I can’t think of any
I highly recommend this series of builds. I shows my husband and told him that this one is a ‘keeper’ as well.
Today, I did some repair work on a case for someone at work and attempted to fix my blue rose. After sticking my fingers together, I did manage to adhere the petal. However, I can’t work what I have done wrong with the rose because it is not a bud but is in full bloom. ha ha
Finally, I pulled out one of my Lego kits given to me at Christmas (darn Rolife builds that keep me busy).
So I completed that this afternoon.
Honeydew popped in for a photo op.
Back to work in the morning.
Those of you still enjoying the weekend, please have fun and enjoy your builds.
