Weekly Small Talks 01 | Which build made you happiest? ✨

How cool :heart_eyes:, those tiny details add personal touch to our builds

Very well said, I really love that a kit has become a connection between both of you

Sakura blossoms are irresistible, hehe. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Thanks

wow @Kycso you did amazing on the teacup ride!! the customization is amazing and your coloring is fantastic. I havent seen this work of yours yet and I am stunned. Good Job!!!

Reading this immediately brought back a special memory from when I was looking for the perfect birthday gift for my nephew. While searching the web, I stumbled upon the Rolife Classic Carousel DIY Kit and knew it would be a unique present. When it arrived, his initial reaction was priceless, though it came with a funny little twist! At first glance, he thought the carousel would already be fully assembled inside the box. When he opened it and realized it was a project to be built from scratch, he got a little upset and confused. Since I live far away and couldn’t be there in person, his dad stepped in. He sat down with him, showed him the ropes and taught him how to piece it together. They ended up building the entire carousel together as a team.

What started as a moment of minor disappointment turned into an unforgettable bonding experience for father and son. Now, that beautifully finished carousel isn’t just a toy on a shelf…it’s a proud reminder of a wonderful memory they built together :carousel_horse:

So I asked them to send some pics & here they are

@Alicesharpe thank you ! :cherry_blossom::blossom::cherry_blossom::blossom:

My first build was the Magic Study, and it was my gateway into this passion! I got it from my fiancee who didn’t have the patience to complete it and now I have a whole new hobby!

So cool! I love the transformation!

Thanks so much. It was a lot of fun. @Vinay

My favorite build was the flower shop. I had just retired from work and needed something to fill my time. The flower shop was probably the second or third build I had ever done. It was extremely challenging for a newbie. Especially the wirework. But in the end it came out beautiful! Even my slightly warped plant stand was ok! Since then, thanks to the rolife facebook group, I’ve learned many tricks to make building easier. This is a hobby that’s going to stay with me for years to come!

Thank you very much.

This little flower cart will always have a special place in my heart because it was my very first Robotime build :cherry_blossom:

I actually flew up to visit my best friend while she was hosting a Robotime event, and we got to build together surrounded by so many creative and kind people. It turned into such a wholesome memory filled with laughter, tiny details, and quality time :face_holding_back_tears::purple_heart:

Every time I look at this kit now, it reminds me that miniatures aren’t just about building something cute… they can hold really special memories too :sparkles:

Thank you, Robotime, for bringing people together in such a cozy and creative way :heart_hands:

Thank you! Glad that you liked it and you remember it.

Quite understandable @Minus_88 , it always feel good when our hardwork is paid off

My favorite build so far was my latest - Honey Dessert Talk. It was fun to build and turned out perfect! I love to bake and my specialty is macarons. It took me two years to perfect them as they are very finicky to make!

Honey Dessert Talk is a very cute kit. Are those your REAL macaroons? If so, they look SO beautiful! @bjahil47

Oh @eluisi You did a wonderful job on the flower shop. I’ve heard from so many others how hard this kit is to do. Very nice!

That’s such a cool story. I’m glad that they were able to have this bonding experience. @Vinay

Awww…so nice to do this kit with friends @Yvonnemtw

I love this story and the special memories it holds for you. @samca
