Hey guys!! :waving_hand:t2::waving_hand:t2:

It’s been a little while, I’ve still been here, just kind of silently lurking! I’ve been pretty busy with my new job, as well as we went on a little holiday. That being said, I have gotten started on Carl’s Fruit Shop!

Kit was manufactured in 2021, so, not the oldest I’ve done but still pretty old!

This is what I’ve gotten done so far! This kit includes paint and you have to paint a bunch of pieces. I already have all the painting done, and it was pretty fast and easy with all my new paint markers. I was able to match the colours that came with the kit pretty closely!

This kit has been pretty cool because it actually asks you to make the pieces look weathered and old, by rubbing them with sand paper, or cutting with a knife. I haven’t seen that as a step in any Rolife kits I’ve done in the past! Here are some close ups of the weathering I’ve done!

It looks amazing. The weathered look gives it an authentic vibe, it looks like it’s really old. I love it. And the colors turned out nicely :smiling_face:

That’s pretty cool that they asked you to weather the pieces! They turned out really good! :heart: I have this in my stash but I’m not keen on the fruits so it’s super low priority hahaha I’ll follow your progress instead! :laughing:

I have always been eyeing this kit. And so cool that you get to make the things look old or weathered. It’s definitely my first time hearing about this kind of instructions.

It’s been fun so far, and judging by the instructions there isn’t anything that looks too difficult or tedious, which is nice coming from Dora’s Loft! :rofl: Making all the fruits and stuff honestly doesn’t look so bad, but I guess we’ll see when I get there! :rofl::rofl:
