this season im feeling overwhelmed, uncoordinated and being pulled every which way. Just like this kit, when you drop multiple marbles in, they are all going different ways. I have 5 kids and im feeling like, did I get too much for one and too little for another child. What days are their holiday concert, choir concert, gingerbread house making at one school, spirit week at another school, doctors appointments. I know im overthinking everything and I will refresh over the weekend. Im determined to have a great christmas!
EDIT:I totally forgot to say what excites me the most! On christmas eve, we give out a present to everyone. They are christmas pajamas. We always switch them up so they dont get their actual pajamas and have to figure out who gets what. Then make cocoa and drive around the neighborhood listening to christmas music and looking at lights. After 11 years, we are going to give them their actual pajamas as a funny trick lol

I think that is just being a parent. You want to be fair. If this makes you feel even a little bit better, At Easter, our kids get baskets filled with candy and other little treats. I was so nervous theywould think I was unfair, I would split the jelly beans, bean for bean. Yes, I counted every one, color included. What was I thinking? Stressed myself unnecessarily but it is because I care and love them both.

That’s what parenting is…and yes it can be overwhelming. On another note, I am SO happy that were able to experience this lovely model. I just love watching mine and am fascinated with all of the movement. The design on this one is top-notch. Hang in there. The kids do grow up…and you’re gonna miss the chaos. Oh absolutely. I do almost the same at easter. Its just a lot during christmas now that they are involved in clubs, concerts, holiday shop. I just need to find time for myself every once in a while! They signed me up for too many things this year lol
After seeing yours before, I definitely want to try painting one of mine after the new year. I wouldnt know where to start. Is there certain types of paints to avoid? And yes I know, I just get overwhelmed at times. I just need a bit of a reset. I love this model as well. I turn it on at night and listen to it before I fall asleep. The bell ding gets me to jump every once in a while though lol

I hadn’t either until I accidentally purchased it lol. Its definitely a fun build! And satisfying to watch once done!
I use the cheap stuff. Apple Barrel acrylics from Walmart…about 60 cents per bottle. I paint about 90% of the stuff before building…as it is MUCH easier to do so while on a flat surface. I aint the edges as I go before installation. I hope this helps. Kudos to you for tackling the job of being a mom to 5. I had 2 boys and I can;t even imagine your struggles. Hang in there, hon. Avoid any glossy paints because they wil show brush marks really bad.

I do not know ages but maybe sit down and talk with them. You can only do so much and be in so many places. In addition you are Mom and have those responsibilities.
I only had 2 children, worked nights and husband worked different hours depending on his career. Daughter was in a dance company so I was there 5 nights a week at least but that was it and that was hard enough!
But you have totake care of yourself or you are no good to anyone if you get sick. Take care and do something nice for yourself even if it is just a little treat!

I took your advice and sat down and talked to them at dinner. They are going to start running things passed me before they make a bunch of plans for me. You’re a dance mom? That had to have been stressful! I appreciate you and your advice. Thank you!

Know that I wasnt a crazy dance mom. I did the costumes and helped with the productions. They were semi professional and really did not do competitions once the girls were a little older

Thanks for sharing this! I’m not a mum myself so I can only imagine the amount of love and hard work you put in each and every day. And if I’m to be honest, Carson has such a beautiful soul so I’m sure all 5 kids of yours are showered with love all the time.
