📖 [Rolife Journey] Christmas Eve Party: the “I should be sleeping” build

Yesterday was my last day of school before the holidays, and I was so motivated (and relieved!) that last night I got way too excited… and ended up starting a new kit at 10:30 PM. A very festive one: Christmas Eve Party.

I have to say it: these new framed kits are fantastic. They solve the eternal “no more shelf space” problem by letting us invade the walls instead. Genius!

I loooove this tool, by the way!!

The only issue? I also do puzzles… so I don’t exactly have spare wall space either :joy::joy:

But this build is special. I’m making it as a Christmas Eve gift for my mum, who’s going through a rough moment. She always asks me for bookshops, but I’m sure this frame is going to make her so, so happy. She’ll be spending Christmas Eve with me, so I want to give it to her then.

For now, I only had time to explore the kit and assemble three pieces of furniture, because, as I said, I started way too late. By midnight I was no longer a functional human being and… I kind of broke the chair

Did I manage to fix it? Yes.
Did I glue my fingers together in the process? Also yes.
That was my sign that it was time to go to sleep :joy::joy:.

Today I’ll be out all day, and on Sunday I have a Christmas party with friends, so I’ll continue on Sunday with full energy and hoping to have it ready by the 24th. I already have some ideas to customize a few things, but only if I have the time. Otherwise, the original version is already beautiful as it is.

And you? Do you like these framed kits?
Have you seen the new collection? There are four of them, and the old bookshop and the cat bakery have completely stolen my heart!!! Heheh

These framed models are amazing. I especially love the old bookstore one. You might not need to edit it; the original is already incredibly beautiful. Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing your finished work.

I, too am in love with the fact that you can hang them on the wall. I liked all of the Christmas ones. I’m sure your mother will love it.

Yes!! That’s what I think too. But the idea of customizing got to me hahaha.

Yeees!! They are really cute. I think she will love it too

I really loved the two that came out for Christmas. I did this one twice (I won one) and had just bought one. So I gave one to my daughter and one to me. Loved making this. The second one, I customized a little bit more.

It’s always fun to read your posts @Wenbare

I love the frame series too especially the Christmas Eve Party one because it has a cover. I wish all the framed series have one so I won’t worry about dust when I hang them.

Glad you were able to fix the broken chair and good night

I love that you built it twice, and gifting one to your daughter is the sweetest thing. I can imagine how fun it must’ve been to customize the second one! I really love to customize my kits

Awww, thank you, @Jill_Francisco!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’m so happy you enjoy reading my posts. And yes, the cover is such a game changer! I really wish all frames had one too, dust is my mortal enemy because I didn’t bought any cover dust for my kits :joy:.
And thank you, I’m glad the chair survived in the end!

I am getting better and more confident with this for sure!

Im not sure. I would need to try one. More a fan of bigger projects and not sure about plastic frames.

The outside is plastic, but inside it’s like a miniature normal house that does click click :joy:

Ugh, I wish I had the motivation to build! I got off work at 7:00am today, and it was my last night so I’ve been trying to stay up, but now it’s 6:00 pm and all I wanna do is go to bed! :skull::skull: Not to mention I’m doing a harder kit now, I can’t engrave lines when I’m tired, they’d probably end up all crooked!!:rofl: I hope that you have fun with all your weekend plans!:heart:

Now, that’s dedication. I love creating both this and Santa‘s toy shop. Proudly displaying at the entrance of our home.

Thank you so much!
I really hope it feels magical for her. These frame kits are such little treasures. And yes, the bookstore is one of my absolute favourites too!

Oh wow, after a night shift like that, wanting to sleep is totally normal! :face_with_spiral_eyes:
Don’t push yourself, your lines will definitely thank you later if you work on them rested. Harder kits need a clear mind.
I hope you get some proper rest and that your weekend feels gentle on you. You deserve it!
