My dad’s surgery has been delayed all week due to his heart getting worse. He has been in the hospital all week and it looks like surgery has been reschedule for five days from now.
So, I brought several projects with me to pass the time doing what I love. My fingers are sore for the first time in a very long time. I decided to sand and paint every single piece of the Lilac. Lots and lots of sanding and painting. lol
I’m thankful for having this hobby to keep my mind off things! I can’t wait to have my Dad medically better so we can get back home…where I can get more miniature building therapy.
I know that feeling all too well. I am currently working on the water lilies. Once you start to put together the lilac, don’t sit it down or you’ll forget where you are.. LOL! Sending healing prayers for your father
Goodness Tina, you’ve picked an intricate flower to sand and paint. I guess it helps you pass the time while you wait. I hope the surgery goes ahead soon for you.
That feels like such a tough week, Tina . Waiting for surgery while your dad’s heart is struggling must feel incredibly heavy, and I hope the reschedule brings him the care he needs soon.
I hope the next few days go as smoothly as possible for your dad and your family. It looks like you’re putting that waiting time to good use, and I really admire the patience it takes to sand and paint every single piece. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.
I hope your father feels better with each passing day. Best wishes for his healing. This Lilac flower is the one I hated the most compared to others like the sunflower, roses and camellia. I finished mine but it really gave me a hard time
