It turned out beautiful :star_struck: the flowers really pop with these colors. I like the golden details on the back. Don’t you still see a gold haze on the rest of the paint if you wipe the gold away every time?

You will if you look at it in a certain light…BUT it can be taken off with a wet cloth if not TOO wet so that it doesn’t rub away the paint that sinks into the crevices of the laser indentations. The lacquer seals the wood so that latex paints won’t penetrate it. Too heavy with the lacquer and it will fill those indentations. Too light and the latex will penetrate the areas you are trying to seal. This is why I was scared of going with black…because that would mean ANOTHER coat that could fill those indentations. @Liset

Thanks so much. I wanted the black for a bold look with gold etchings on the book. Maybe I will be less scared on my next project. Always testing…LOL!

oooh the bee doesn’t belong in here?? she fits in so well I thought she comes with the basket and please :sob: I get it when your done with something so you just yeet it and call it quits :sob: but its still turned out pretty amazing so hurray for that <33

You will love it…but the orchid and Sakura are a bit challenging. Don’t be afraid to lightly sand and/or wax the tabs for ease in assembling
