📖 [Rolife Journey] Rolife Dark Castle Box Theater Complete

I have been busy lately and was not able to post updates on this build so here goes.

Since I am not used to old version kits, I had a hard time building this. But I was able to complete it in 2 hours or so since it’s just a small project.

Instructions say to build this chest with a skeleton hand. I used markers to write on the letters which was a big mistake. I should have just used a pen because the marker made it smudge-y. I tried using the silver pen that went with the kit but I found it too dark so I used my own silver pen instead for the details.

I found it hard to work with the wood parts of this kit because they are thinner than the ones I’m used to. And the pieces don’t snap together, I had to cut a little piece just to make it work.

At the back of the box is where you place the battery pack. You need to be extra careful here or else you’ll end up like me breaking the door  i just glued them together again but it’s unsightly. Good thing it’s in the back.

Most of the details on this one is paper.

Turning on the lights gives off spooky vibes — I love how the branches cast shadows in the background.

This kit also comes with an acrylic cover to keep dusts away.

Overall, this is such a unique build. I will try adding a Nanci next time to see if she fits inside.

Building this in 2 hours is impressive Jill, even more so when it’s an older style kit! :pink_heart: I do agree that the wood given from back in the days is a lot more fragile.

I think it turned out really cool and spooky! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Perfect as a decoration with a little drawer to store I don’t know what.

Love it! I think since it’s an older version, it tends to be more sensitive no?

Such a cute it. I find that sandpaper and wax are always so helpful when trying to interlock stubborn wooden pieces.

I haven’t seen much of this kit yet. You’ve made it beautifully. I think it’s difficult to create the details from paper, but you’ve done it very nicely.
