I made minor progress after work and I’m absolutely loving this kit. It’s so well made and I found it really easy, with hardly any sanding needed. It’s perfect for what I need to de-stress and relax.
A couple of photos of the books and shelves. They’re really well made and I’m loving the quality and details. I do wish for the book covers to be paper rather than stickers since they’re easier to adjust, but I get why stickers make more sense for the general public.
Had a small hiccup where the base came with a bent/broken corner. That bit of the wood is pretty fragile so it’s understandable. I applied some strong glue and put heavy weights on top for a few hours, and I think it should be enough to do the trick. Guess I’ll find out if this will become a problem further down the build.
I’ve looked at this kit a number of times but never committed to getting it. Now that I’ve seen it up close (love those storefronts), I may get it now.
Great workaround with the warping. Hope it doesn’t cause you issues in the long run.
I love the looks of this one…That blue on the storefront is beautiful. I am with you on the stickers being less forgiving. They act almost like a magnet when you get them even slightly close to the item you are attaching them to…
Get it! I really do love the design! I did wish it was a little more challenging but it’s perfect for what I need right now. I don’t really have the time to build.
