Hey guys! :waving_hand:t2::waving_hand:t2:

Got my finished Sam’s Study here to share! I’ve always kind of thought this build was kind of “meh” but after doing it myself I have gained a new appreciation for it! :heart:

I’ll start the post off by showing you a guys the 100 million books I had to cut out and fold manually! :tired_face:

Im not going to lie, it was pretty tedious by the end, but I survived! :rofl::rofl:

One thing that actually ended up taking quite a bit of time was filling up all the shelves with books and stuff, it was actually harder than I thought it was going to be, trying to make it look like the picture, and figure out what goes where!

After filling up the shelves and seeing everything slowly come together, I started falling in love with the build!

Next up is the chandelier! I’ve heard people talk about the difficulty level of the chandelier, and I do say it was quite finicky!

I posted two pics because I really wanted to feature my magnetic alligator clip thing, as per recommendation from @jeanneL and @Orangesareus !! :rofl: I’m actually very happy with how my chandelier turned out, I was a little unsure in the midst of the process.

Next are some pictures of the walls going up and the finished build!

I am pretty happy with the finished build and I think it will be a great addition to my collection! :heart::blush:

Up next, I think I’m going to take a little intermission from Rolife and build a third party kit:

I’m a huge fan of the gothiky, castle-ey builds like Holo Magic City, so I’m probably going to start this in the next couple days because I’m in the mood for one of these! :star_struck:

Yes maybe because folding them becomes a muscle memory and you can zone out? :sob:

Old model kits always require meticulous attention to detail. Cutting and gluing the paper, in particular, is time-consuming but incredibly enjoyable. You did a great job. The model is fantastic.

Thank you friend! :heart: Yeah, I thought the templates that they give you for the chair were kind of weird! It’s like the side piece fabric cut out didn’t fit around the piece properly, definitely had to do some fiddling to make it look right! :face_with_steam_from_nose: The books were definitely like :face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes: by the end :joy:.

That’s a lot of books! Great job @Atropex your study looks amazing.

And I’m excited with your next build. It looks so cool. It even has lights! Will there also be moving parts?

Everything turned out so nice! I love your chandelier! I’ve seen the rail track secluded city and it’s a beautiful model. I hope you enjoy it!

No, it doesn’t, I opened the box and it actually looks a lot more nook style, which will be welcome after the more technical builds I’ve been doing!

I hope I do too! I’m such a sucker for all the castle-ey, gothic builds, I have a little back log of those a long with my gigantic Rolife one! :joy::joy: I’ve been doing so many Rolife builds I can’t even remember the last time I did a third-party, so it will be a nice little change for a bit!

Thank you! :folded_hands:t2::heart: That means so much to me! I showed my husband my chandelier, which I’m pretty proud of btw, and he was all like “why isn’t it square and level :face_with_monocle:” and I was just like “b**** you try making this”, it gets to a point where you don’t want to touch it anymore or else you’ll break it or mess it up! :joy::joy::joy:
